89justalex
Hello my dear hookah smokers ! I recently bought an egyptian 70 cm hookah an i am quite satisfied but i want something better ! I am from Romania, so finding a good hookah here is quite a headache because there are not many shops from where you can buy a great hookah. Anyway, i saw two hookas that impressed me : a 70 cm Imperial Al Fakher and a 70 cm Aladin Nomad. Which is better? Both are great imo but i want to know from you, the experts, which would be the right choice. I am sorry if i made any grammar errors but i am really tired ! Thank you and i hope someone will answer me asap. Oh..almost forgot...here are some links where you can find those hookas: http://www.shishabuzz.com/single-hose-shisha/aladin-nomad-red-and-yellow.html http://www.narghilea.ro/narghilea.imperiala_medie.html
vendetta_revived
Al Fakher for sure. If I am not mistaken, the one you have linked is their AF small solid (someone correct me if I am wrong). It's a sturdy syrian hookah. I have heard about Aladin hookahs before, but I remember them being egyptian, and the one you have linked looks kind of chinese to me. vendetta_revived
Okay I did look up Aladin, and they are a european brand, not chinese, but it seems that they are an equivalent of what mya pipes are in the US. You can screw them apart for cleaning and what not. So my vote goes to the Al fakher hookah. PS: You have posted the thread in the wrong section. 89justalex
yes, my friend, you are right ! it is the Al Fakher Small Solid: http://www.alfakheronline.com/AF_Small_Solid_Hookah.htm thank you so much for your answer ! as for the Aladin one, i don't think it is a chinese hookah ( but u know better than me indeed ) because i have seen lots of reviews for that pipe from german owners and american owners. But, as you said, the AF would be the best !

Chreees
I'll move it for ya. Go for the AF Small Solid- I used to own one and it's legit. The other hookah I'm not sure about at all, but I have heard Aladin is a decent brand commonly sold in Europe. But a big factor I'd pick the AF is it definitely has a closed chamber, whereas that Aladin model looks to have an open chamber. I prefer traditional (closed) chamber pipes.
Pavo21
id say go for the AF one also
89justalex
thanks a lot guys !you really helped me with this. i can't wait to have that awesome hookah. oh, and i have a small question. i want to buy a good bowl as well. i'm not a heavy smoker, most of the time i use herbal flavors. i want to know what bowl is better for me? the phunnel bowl or the vortex one? Chreees
Phunnel bowl, no doubt. Preferrably a legit Tangiers-made one, but even a Chinese one would be better than a Vortex, which is also a Chinese-made bowl, but the phunnel's design is better.

I don't think anyone here has experience with their pipes. The Nargilem NPS 620 series features pipes made from stainless steel, which can range from really good steel that does not rust, to steel which may rust. It does come with a bohemian vase, but they are not attractive imo. Regardless, their whole design reminds me of mya pipes, which are good, but not at that price. I'd still go with the AF small solid.

That's not to say they aren't real bohos or that they aren't any good, just there are better boho vases out there if you look hard enough. But yeah, AF over Mya any day, no doubt. dizzbizz
AF for sure. The pipe is so pretty and the bottom tray is so unique.
mustang67n
AF for sure. and if you don't smoke heavily, I'd actually stick with an egyptian clay bowl. Phunnels are great if you smoke for more than an hour or so at a time, but if you don't, then your really just wasting tobacco IMO. I'd say get (if that AF doesn't come with one already) an egyptian clay bowl. They can be had for $3-$8 USD
89justalex
@dizzbizz : thanks a lot mate ! you all convinced me ! i'm going to buy the AF hookah. Already ordered it and i should have it in 5 days. @mustang67n: well i'm not a heavy smoker. i usually smoke herbal flavors. i also smoke flavors with tobacco and nicotine but that's rare...few times/month. I saw that the pipe comes with an original AF hosee( or at least that's what they say on the website) . Is it a good hose or Should i change it and buy another one for a better smoke experience? @all: i really appreciate your help ! this is an awesome forum and i already learnt many important stuff about hookas. mustang67n
I'm not sure about the hoses that come with AF's but I'd recommend getting a Razan hose or similar washable. They just last longer and you can clean them. Razan's are available at Nazarhookah.com Definitely ask about international shipping first. Unless you can find something similar locally
89justalex
i found a Razan hose at 23$ in a shop from Bucharest ( the city where i live and the capital of my country ). I also found an Aladin hose which is cheaper but i think it is fake or low quality. Can't tell for sure...Here is a link of it: http://narghilea.ro/narghilea.furtun_aladin_160cm.html The description is in romanian and it says: The 160cm Aladin hose is made of a resistant material which makes the hose resist very long ( 1-2 years ). It doesn't say anything about the possibility of washing it. Anyway, i need and extra hose for my actual hookah because i was stupid and i washed its hose so i wonder if that would be a good hose. Chreees
AF hoses are pretty decent, but you will much prefer the Razan or similar washable hose.
