New to the forum and to the hookah

Recommended Posts

First off I am Chris and I have kept my eye in the forum for some time now while deciding on what I wanted to try and where I wanted to order it from. Just did not want to be one of those total newbs that beg for help with every little aspect.I was introduced to smoking hookah by a foriegn exchange student named Talot who is from I have no idea where, but he claimed that we were smoking out of a crappy hookah, and smoking tobacco that was not exactly top of the line. It tasted pretty good to me and I later found that it was naklah apple. So I got to thinking that if all of that was not the best stuff to smoke and I liked it that much....how much would I like better brands/flavors?So I finally made a solid decision on a hookah and went for the stargate from Taqseem, and placed an order for shisha from social smoke. The shisha came today, and the list is as follows: Layalina.....pear, vanilla, coconut, and 100 grams of blueberry (struck me as a flavor I would love in smoke form) and Al Amir....melon, Kiwi, Strawberry, Peach, Three Apple, Mint, Cherry, Orange, Banana Split, and Pina Colada. For good measure I also god a 100 gram bag of Starbuzz Exotic Apple. Got enough to start me off I think. Pleased to meet you all. Hope everyone has a good night!

Well I will have to say that the starbuzz exotic apple is superb. Thick, full smoke, and a wonderful flavor. The al amir mint produced an even thicker smoke than the starbuzz but the flavor was lacking something for me. Very cooling in the throat though. Just not enough mint to be called mint. The al amir blueberry had kind of a dawn dish detergent taste in the back of my throat for about the first 5 pulls....after that it was a very sweet faintly blueberry taste. As far as ranking a brand and flavor on the buzz factor I have no idea.....being that I smoke a pack and a half of camel filters a day it is pretty hard to get a tobacco buzz off of anything anymore. I'm sure there will be more to come. For the final reviews on all of it I will use the rating scheme that seems to have been adopted in the forum, along with a little synopsis of it as well. Take care, all.
