Messing With Temperature Of Storage Place?

Recommended Posts

So I have a tin of shisha that I purchased recently, but I've been lazy and left it in my car where it gets hot. I just took it out and then put it in the refrigerator then took it back out. So my question is, is it okay to mess with shisha temperature wise? Is it safe? Will it smoke bad or something? I got it back to the normal temperature it should be left at (cool dry place).

Just keep it room temperature. If you leave it out in the hot or cold car or where ever, just allow it to get back to room temp. No need to throw it in the fridge. I had some Tangiers and Nakhla sit in my car in 100 degree weather for about three days and I just let it sit inside my friend's house a few hours before smoking it. It was totally fine.

Yes it depends on what you are smoking....

For Tangiers, ideally if you can leave it in a place that is a relatively constant temperature that would be best so that you are avoiding acclimation shock. For example, going from freezing temp./ low humidity environment to a high temp./high humidity environment has often been reported to induce acclimation shock which then causes extra measures (ie increased preparation time) to be taken.

While sometimes shit happens and maybe you leave your stash in the car for 3 days (lol) it IS possibly that your Tangiers will recover from the trauma however I would recommend to avoid the scenario to decrease the hassle.

Hope that made sense...

yah I smoked my nakhla straight out of the car after a day or so (in the mediterranian area tho, 35C+) and it was fine, similarly I smoked it straight out of the fridge, smoked just fine, Might be that nakhla is specially fool proof though :D

I think it all comes down to humidity changes if anything, you have to also keep in mind when you order it travels through high and low temps say on a shipping cargo plane if you get express shipping. If the package is open and it is going threw high and low humidity areas, that could be a problem, but if it is sealed, i don't think you will have a problem with it.
