bruceg
No
Thanks. If my landlord was to come into my place and it smelled bad like cigarette smoke or the likes she'd flip the hell out.

He also frequently smokes hookah in there and I have never noticed an odor or coloring on the walls.

89justalex
hahaha ! believe it or not, i asked myself the same question a couple of times. the smoke from the hookahs doesn't smell bad like the one from the cigarettes. I have almost 2 months of smoking hookah every day and there is no change of smell or anything in my apartment. The smoke lasts like half an hour after the smoking session..sometimes more ( maybe 1 hour max ) but with an open window you can solve the problem. after that, everything will ok. Rani
I've been smoking years in the same apartment an have never once walked into the lingering hookah smells. About 30 minutes after smoking, it's cleared out, even in winter in an essentially closed up apartment. Plus.......When I smoke I have at least one cat sitting in my lap sniffing the clouds. And we all know how sensitive animals are to odors, so I'm thinking if it passes the pet test, your landlord is probably never going to notice a thing. In fact they are pretty curious about what it is :I The only bad thing is that you may drop a coal now and again and potentially scorch the carpet or your stuff. So I'd suggest putting it on a rug, like a cheapo throw away one. Just in case.
bruceg
Hm, I think I'll definitely look into a rug then. She'd be quick to not want to give me my deposit back over a burn hole on the floor. haha
r1v3th3ad
No smoking in my house allowed but while my parents were in Alaska I snuck a few sessions and they had no idea A throw rug/scrap rug is a very good investment if worried about carpet
joytron
I would put a thin wood board and put a rug over it if you have carpeting or nice wood floors.

bruceg
It's not carpet, but I don't want any burn marks on the hard wood floors. lol
Moes Hookah Bar
No smoke without fire..but in this case the smell is non existent......well only if u don't burn the damn carpets and the table or spill your base with 'milk' in it! ;-)
romzz
I feel like I must be the only person here who has lingering hookah smell. I don't mind it at all actually, but I smoke a LOT and the next day when I get home from work the room I smoke in will smell sweet, like the shisha, not like coals or smoke. Also, on the carpet topic, I bought a cheap huge rug that I keep my hookah table on. It eliminates the need for the wood board and it's saved my ass a number of times. While it may not look very pleasant anymore my wood floors are still quite beautiful! Coleman
Are you ventilating the room at all? If not then that may be the reason but as long as it smells good and it won't get you in trouble it doesn't matter
