Do You Like Your Job

Coleman

Recommended Posts

Ok so I'm young and have ha very few jobs. Three to be exact the first one was fine but it was temporary (3 weeks) the next one sucked and now I have been at this place for a month ad a half and love it. I'm typing this while on my lunch break actually but how many people love the job they are currently working.

I like my job just fine, but wish it paid more. I just have to deal with too much BS to be working for a buck over minimum wage. Therefore I have been on a frenzy putting in job apps everywhere I can think of that I wouldn't mind working at and would pay at least $10/hour. I have an interview Friday for Verizon. Hella stoked about it! Researching the company, they seem good to work for.

Glad to hear you are loving your new job, Coleman. I'm happy for ya, brotha. :)

June 1st was 36 years on my job, so I guess I like it. I travel all over the Southeast and the pay's not bad. The only bad part is the unpredictability of where I'm going to be next. Next week I'll be working in Bay Minette, AL followed by Foley, AL. Then probably Corinth, MS.

I love my fucking job and my job loves fucking me.
The wages of sin is death, but the wages where I work are worse.
Thats great cole! What do you do at your new job? I love my job. I've been promoted to be the Suit Specialist at Nordstrom Rack. They treat us well and pay us even better
I'm working in a kitchen as a cook sometime very soon I will be working the actual line as oppose to working the pizza station where im making single serving pizzas. Fairly simple but I'm learning a lot about being a cook which Is what I want to do as a career

My job sucks...but, I don't know how to do much of anything else. So, I stay....plus, I may a good bit of money. (although, I'm taking almost a $3000 paycut when I move to New Mexico...grumble.) Edited by Arcane

You know people say not to trust a skinny chef, right?? ;)

I love my current (paid!) internship. I'm doing game design at a research lab at MIT with a bunch of other students. Half are from my school (RISD), Berklee (a music school in Boston), MIT, and the other half are from schools in Singapore. The commute blows (about an hour and a half each way) but it's well worth it for the experience... and the money.

I like my job, I am a game designer. I love the fact that I work at home though, it is the thing I like the most of this job and the fact that I can do it anywhere and then I could move my ass out of Europe.

Before that I had the dream job of a lot of guys, also me. I was a game tester... and SO disappointed at it. It really is not even 10% as cool as it sounds.

I have done pretty much every job under the sun. Currently, I love what I am doing. Great hours, decent pay and people that appreciate what I do! I get there early everyday, and stay a little late, at first I did that because those extra minutes add up to another hour for my paycheck, and now I do it because I sincerely enjoy it.

Also, so proud of you Cole! And good luck with Verizon today Chris!

Thanks, Kat! I think it went well. Only bad thing was the manager told me they typically don't hire externally because they are a high-volume store (they like to get sales reps from other, slower, stores), but they have so many positions open right now that they're going to have to. I'm really hoping I get it, but definitely not putting all my eggs in one basket.

Most of the time I love what I do. At the moment my que is packed up like an L.A. freeway at rush hour... with a major accident, and some construction going on. Not loving that so much.

With all these "Cajun" shows (Cajun Justice, Swamp People, etc.) I've been watching, I think it would be cool to live down there for a bit and really take in the culture.

Nothing says culture like reality TV....

The culture down here is absolutely amazing and unlike anywhere else. However, I would take what you see on Cajun Justice and Swamp People with a grain of salt.
