HookahDuck
This has been brought up briefly, but I couldnt find an actual thread that discussed it. Just as ma'assel should be alowed to acclimate to the ambient humidity- Im sure a sudden change in humidity(ie: a storm rolls in) would provide the same adverse affects. It is monsoon season in AZ and last night I smoked a bowl of Nakhla choc-o-mint, a few hours after the downpoor. I noticed slightly "thinner" than usual smoke, which provide a heavier buzz and drasticaly less flavor. Sounds like characteristic hudmidity shock to me. I just wanted to make sure its not something else. What are we to do then when the weather changes a lot? Would it be best to keep the tobacco in a humidity controlled environment (ie a humidor) before smokeing? Or would that only work if you were smoking it in the humidor it self? nuschultz
Just acclimate it.http://www.hookahwiki.com/index.php?title=...limating_Shisha
Joseph
Despite all the talk on the board, I have never acclimated shisha. I have always stored it in its box in a plastic bag or tupperware, and only taken it out when I am about to smoke it. I have never had any of the described problems. Maybe I am lucky or maybe my shisha would be even better if I acclimate it. I may have to stop being lazy and start acclimating my shisha
Scalliwag
I guess I am lucky too. I've only acclimated a coupld of times and did not notice a difference. I am not sure that since I am in Texas and it's been 100 degrees almost every day since I started smoking a hookah or not. Since the air conditioner in my house stays on nearly constantly I may find problems once the weather actually does change. I would trade a bad day hookah for a 70 degree day though
