Hey guys, I opened my bag of Lucid ILTOBC and it has a citrus smell almost like Mimon. I looked up the reviews and 1/2 the people said it smells like applejacks/ fruit loops and the other 1/2 say they get a citrus smell. Should I acclimate it longer until I get more smells coming through or is it ok to smoke as it is?

I haven't smelled apple jacks or fruit loops in a while, so maybe they do smell as citrusy as Mimon Edited July 31, 2012 by kajon

May wanna let someone else chime in, but from what I read as long as it doesn't smell like bbq sauce or soy sauce or something else along the lines, it's good to go.

I think that people are just unable to agree on what ILTOBC is supposed to be.

Citrus aroma is a good thing! Happy smoking.

I got citrus from it as well when I smoked ILTOBC long ago. I'd say you're good to go, but a little acclimation (30 minutes to an hour before packing) never hurt anyone!

People interpret smells different. The most common hookah debate is whether AF Grape smells like Grape or Ketchup. I say grape (a rahter pungent one), but I can see where people might say ketchup.

I say the "one" smells somewhat citrusy. I don't know about the "other", since I haven't opened my sample yet. (see what I did there?)

well both of the flavors have a citrus smell the noir and the lucid and the birquq. Because its on of the flavors he sticks in it. lol but its good togo. Enjoy it

If it doesn't smell like pungent tobacco, bbq sauce or soy sauce go ahead and try it.

Rarely, there is hardly any flavor even though the smoke isn't harsh and the clouds are thunderous. This indicates a more subtle acclimation issue. This however won't be apparent until you actually smoke it.
