Here are the pictures of my stargate rotator that I bought recently. Again, please do not get me wrong, this is one of the best hookah's that I have smoked with, but I did not expect it to rust this quick.Sorry some of those pictures have bad quality but I was in a hurry. This is the base, it stopped rotating, I have to oil it and turn it around to start rotating again but the rust on it is very annoying. This is the middle part. You can see the rust inside. The middle part from the outside looks good, no rust. But notice how I have the valve half open, the reason is that the ball always gets stuck when I blow the smoke out of it and I have to open it. Now I filled the upper part of the valve with foil and I keep the valve half open and this seems to work fine. Finally, this is the stem, it is rusted from inside.
So... the ACTUAL stargates are chinese... thus making the knockoffs better?
No. in reality ....ALL of them are chinese.... theres knock-offs of knock-offs by now.The "stargate" is a knock off of a high dollar hookah where the shank on them are lathed out of solid silver. The design from that was taken to a chinese manufacturer and made of obviosly less costly metals than silver round stock or castings. What were those things going for guys? Bout a 1k to 1.2K US$?Are the originals still even found?

Yay, I just got a response from Taqseem, they will replace it and they said it is the only complaint they got about it. What could have caused this?I love this hookah it is so smooth but I was a little disappointed to see some parts rust like that. But until now I have seen great customer service on their part.

Yes, probably one of the single worst metals you could make a head out of would be silver. Some metals may have higher thermal conductivities, but I can't think of any, off the top of my head. Thats a common response in standard customer service responses. Tell the customer this never happens (when you are up to your eyeballs because it happens ALL the time). Just so they think its weird and feel confident in the quality of your product. Other people have said the same things, right? How could it be the only one?? I'm looking at corrosion throughout your pipe in the pictures. If you are the first to complain, something is seriously wrong and they are going to be having alot of complaints, thats obviously a case of manufacturing with non-rust resistant materials.

havent had any problems with my rotator one, except the rotation thing gets stuck sometimes, but no rust problems. Then again its not my primary hookah so it gets smoked about once a week, but no problems with it other than the ball bearings clogging the hits!
