Help Id My Hookah?!

Recommended Posts

Hey, everyone. I'm new here and am just starting to get back into smoking hookah. I've had this hookah for roughly 5 years; I smoke it occasionally, have never really taken care of it (clean it), and would like to change up my habits.

I cleaned it with oxyclean and it's in okay shape. I'll likely purchase a new one in the next month or so.

Thanks for the help!

Sorry that the photo is sideways, i'm not sure why that happened.

All I know of the hookah is this: I got it from a fellow who worked at a hookah lounge, and he claimed that it was a nice piece. The base may or may not be what came with the hookah, as he had so many it's likely that he mixed and matched. My guess is that it's not a total piece of junk as it's lasted for so many years.

Hoping to buy a KM with a Tangiers phunnel sometime in the next month or so.

Thanks again.

It's not a piece of junk at all, that's a nice slightly older Syrian pipe which are desirable old and new. Quality Syrian pipes are built to last and many love their unique smoking character (i.e. their more restrictive draw). Is that marble in the center?

Yes, I like that it has a restrictive draw... Will the KM be a very different smoking experience?

And it is marble in the center.

KMs, like other Egyptian pipes, have a very unrestricted open draw, so yes it will be quite different but it's all a matter of personal preference.

Syrians like to use marble in their pipes :D
