My Experience

Recommended Posts

I purchased a Petite Maya Hookah for $25. I also purchased Cocanaro coals, coffee shisha, steel screens for another $18. Purchased a single burner stove at Walgreens on line for less than $11. I started the coal, 1 cube, on the stove turning over after 3 min. Put the shisha in the bowl on top of the vase with ice cubes. Placed the stainless screen on top and when the coal was ignited (6min) I began my venture. It was the smoothest smoke with no aftertaste and plenty of clouds. I smoked for 45 minutes before it began to burn out. I will no longer use charcoal. This was a major difference from beginning to end with less toxins and a smoother smoke. Not bad for less than $60.
Try it!

You are off to a good start! I recommend picking up some Reynolds Heavy Duty foil and replace the screen; you'll have much better results. Coconaras are among the best coals on the market you can buy. As ken mentioned, definitely try out some Nakhla or Tangiers (I'd start with the Lucid line, see my Tangiers Success Guide link in my signature to see the differences in the lines) sometime. Either way, glad you are enjoying it and hope you have many more good sessions in the future!

Ya, the biggest problem with screens is that the holes are USUALLy too bog and suck ash in on top of your tobacco. This tends to restrict air flow and insulate your tobacco. Though i use regular foil. Not a fan of the HD.
