Quathan
Hello friends! I’m hoping someone here can help me in this little dilemma I’ve (unfortunately) found myself in. Believe me, I’m open to all suggestions. So recently my best friend visited Israel and brought back for me a *beautiful* hookah. Needless to say, I was overjoyed and in awe – I’ve never had a hookah before! But ya know how you’re not supposed to pick up a hookah by the stem once it’s filled with water? Yeah, I sorta did that, and the vase shattered around my feet. Along with my soul. My aim now is to find the same (or similar) hookah vase (I’ve enclosed a picture) anywhere online or in a store (I live on Long Island, NY). The hookah brand is Ager. If you need more details, please let me know. Thanks, all!
mushrat
Heh, ok..I believe your hookah from Israel was made in China. But that's besides the point. One of the cool things about hookahs is you can mix and match bases. Find one you like someplace and buy it as a new base. As for finding one like that, try searching Ager distributors or retailers. Chreees
Damn that sucks, man! Well, you have two options: 1. Get a new vase. Looks like the hookah is Chinese made, despite being purchased in Israel. Very common for people to mistake where a hookah is made, especially if you do not have a trained eye to note the differences. Either way, this means you'll want to probably look at vases that typically go with Chinese hookahs to ensure a proper fit. Here are some links for you to start with: If your hookah was small: http://www.hookah-sh...eplacement.html If your hookah was on the larger side, should probably go with one of these: http://www.hookah-sh...eplacement.html I think the Mya Gyro vase is probably the closest match you'll find, but let us know what size your hookah is. Measure the downstem (just the thin part that goes into the vase). This will help us find you the right size. 2. Take this as an opportunity to get a new hookah. If you liked your Ager, then you'll love any of the brands members here will recommend to you. In my opinion- Khalil Mamoon and Farida are the top Egyptian brands right now, Al Nawras is the best Syrian brand if you can find one (kinda rare these days due to the Syrian crisis going on), Mya Saray is the best Chinese brand, and Elmas is the best Turkish brand. Check out these sites for those brands: http://www.5starhookah.com (Elmas, KM, Farida) http://www.ultimatehookah.com (KM) http://www.kasbah.us (has one Al Nawras model, with more on the way ) http://www.nazarhookah.com (Elmas, KM, Farida) http://www.hookah-shisha.com (KM, Mya Saray) Or if glass hookahs are interesting to you, hit up Santino at CrownHookahs: http://crownhookahs....hop_param=cid= If you go with 1, make sure to give the measurements to the retailer so they can tell you whether or not the vase you want will fit. Or give them to us and let us know what vase you're interested in before buying anything and we can help you out. Hope this helps!

I found a few Ager distributors, and one of them has a vase I really want, but I don't think they'll sell me just a single vase. Suggestions? I'm surprised, I thought Ager was such a big, prevalent name in hookah. I'm surprised they're not popularly sold everywhere! Unless I'm just not observant enough... Chreees
hey now, lets not forget www.fumodesign.com as well for all glass.
Whoops, yeah, you're right. While I haven't smoked from one personally, I've never seen criticism about them. Should probably also add http://www.myahookah.com as well, considering they are one of our paying vendors here on the forum, and run specials/discounts. Don't know anyone who has ordered from them yet, though.

mushrat
Quathan, you don't see them much beacsue with the exception of the Mya Saray, chinese made hookahs are pretty low quality in terms of materials and workmanship. They may look cool, but they are rarely built well and rarely last very long.

mushrat
The Mya? Well, the non-econo line of Mya hookahs have brass cores, so they are solidly made and will last many years with proper care. More like a higher quality Middle Eastern Hookah. The parts are standardized. And the company is based in Sterling Virginia. The company was created by the current owners' father and they take pride in their work. Not just some large chinese company cranking out crap to sell cheap. You can even talk to the owners if you want by calling their listed number on the web site.
