Questions About Hookah

I've never smoked hookah but have been wanting to try it for a long time. I've smoked other things before(cigs, cigars, cigarillos, ecigs.) what does it taste like?can someone describe the taste? Edited September 26, 2012 by r1v3th3ad

depends on the flavor.

depends on the flavor you get. Strawberry flavored tobacco will mostly taste like strawberry. Cherry like cherry....and mint like mint.

There are some unflavored varieties that taste similar to cigars and/or pipe tobacco.

Depending on the brand, pretty close. It's a lot different than burning the tobacco like you do when you smoke other ways. Hard to describe, but to me it's a clean tasting smoke.

When you do return...

I have found some flavors to have altered tastes to it...more candy like or chemically, like fantasia flavors and starbuzz to name two big ones. tangiers, nakhla, and al fakher tend to be more spot on with the flavor described.
nakhla mizo blueberry tastes like blueberry juice, tangiers orange soda tastes like the real thing, al fakher cappuchino tastes realistic to me....but there are hundreds of flavors and many companies that do variations of them too, so it varies from brand to brand. I never get a tobacco taste, unless I'm smoking something that is meant to be like desi murli.

You get the blueberry juice taste from Nakhla Mizo Blueberry to?? YES, I'M NOT ALONE! I thought I was just weird and everyone else was normal... Haha.

I would suggest you make an excursion to a lounge in your area. Find one where you can try many different tobaccos, and that's willing to answer any questions you might have. As much as we can explain things to you, nothing can be your own personal experience. It's worth the investment in a night out at a lounge to see if it's for you before you become a complete loonie like the rest of us and end up with a whole lot of expensive hookah gear stashed in every room of your house.

Here's the deal. In most cases, the flavourings used are the same artificial flavourings used for candies. Some are better quality than others depending on the brand. But essentially Hookah Tobacco tastes like a candy of that particular Flavour. That make sense?
