Rani
By the way Scotsman, I looked at your sources........ They're all right wing "true believers" themselves. Not one is what I would consider creditable. Like say a report from the Treasury, Department of Emergy, etc. Everybody has an opinion. And putting it in writing doesn't do anything but put it in writing.. Oh wait.......... Scotsman and Gramps are both twelve year old girls trolling the internet for transvestite hookers with "Tina" connections. There. It's in writing. On the internet. Must be true. At least according to the wing nut thought processes. 'Rani

Chreees
As for the "liberal media," Scotsman, why don't you try watching something other than Fox News? You ever think that perhaps the majority of media is not liberal, but simply just reporting the news? Fox News claims "Fair and Balanced," when in fact they are quite the opposite. Out of all the news networks, Fox News is the master at putting their spin on things. Let me show you: http://www.foxnews.c...-second-debate/ Seems to be a lot different than these sources that say Obama won the second debate (keep in mind these same sources will tell you that Romney won the first debate): http://www.ksdk.com/...n-second-debate http://www.sfgate.co...ter-3957640.php http://www.forbes.co...-second-debate/ http://www.cnn.com/2...nbar/index.html http://www.usatoday....hosfta/1638799/ http://www.cbsnews.c...-second-debate/ http://abcnews.go.co...e-for-momentum/ http://www.enstarz.c...cond-debate.htm So, essentially, we have a gazillion news sources (I could have posted many more) saying the same thing, then good ol' Fox News standing over there by themselves saying the opposite. It's pretty obvious who's doing the spinning... Heck, just read the Fox News article. With the way it's written, how could any sensible person believe that was written with being "fair and balanced" in mind? This article further articulates my point: http://www.examiner....bate-going-away So yes, I'm a "true believer" that Fox News is illegitimate as a news source, and I cannot believe how so many can be okay with being fed their BS. Unfortunately it's legal in this country for a network to call itself a news source and spread lies to push a certain agenda. News used to be "fair and balanced" back when the Fairness Doctrine existed. That's when it was a journalist's duty to be truthful. You didn't have Fox News, MSNBC, etc. during this time. Sadly, it was done away with in 1987 by the FCC under Reagan's watch. I wonder sometimes what the news world would be like today if the Fairness Doctrine were still around. Rani
And this morning a recording surfaces from a June conference call where Mitt Romney pretty much outright told employers to inform their employees how they should vote. There's good guys on both sides. But it's sad how the ones who scream the loudest get the most attention, and ultimately, the most control. The parties used to be more in line together (moderates I guess you could say), whereas now they are becoming polar opposites, and it's making it increasingly difficult to get anything done. Rani
It just gets worse and worse. Where is the explanation about it? At least we know where romney made his $, and how, the same can not be said on the other side. Remember the gay marriage flip-flop? oops, you forgot that one, eh? Same for the penalty/tax/penalty/tax, whatever on the deathcare bill. I guess, now it's officialy a tax, makes him a lier on the not a penny of tax increase for the middle class. And it is just a tax, a tax for nothing, because if you get stuck with the penalty-TAX you just paid a tax for zero service, you still got medical bills! The first ever tax in US history that provides zero service gain from the gov't. He flipped on immigration, On paygo, on senior income tax, earmarks, lobists in cabinet, spending freeze, on requiring competitive bidding for earmarks, tax credits for child care, military action without congressional approval, stand on Israel, let Sudan off the hook for Darfur, stand on Mubarak, NAFTA, Keystone XL, single payer HC, nuclear power, closing gitmo, cracking down on employers for illegal imigrants, lower cost foreign drugs imported, military tribunals, US Pat act, fisa, superpacs, accepting campaign donations from lobists, welfare reform, hell, even wearing the damn US flag pin. And those are just the ones I came up with in 3 minutes. Oh, wait, I forgot the liberal way of thinking. Only a conservative flip-flops, when it's a liberal, especialy your messiah, then it's a "developing" opinion. Someone's pissing on you and calling it rain if you believe O has a firm opinion he will stick with on any subject when the polls go the other way. Just how the hell do you explain the fact a "community organizer" managed to become a millionaire in a few years? You don't honestly think that money was all earned in a upstanding fashion, do you? Where is the explanation about it? At least we know where romney made his $, and how, the same can not be said on the other side. Remember the gay marriage flip-flop? oops, you forgot that one, eh? Same for the penalty/tax/penalty/tax, whatever on the deathcare bill. Lol, I'm guessing you're like my brother and believe the whole "Death Panel" BS? http://tinyurl.com/7uxqmw9 Palin needs to crawl back into the hole she came out of for starting that whole thing, seriously. Sources? Oh, wait, I forgot the liberal way of thinking. Only a conservative flip-flops, when it's a liberal, especialy your messiah, then it's a "developing" opinion. Someone's pissing on you and calling it rain if you believe O has a firm opinion he will stick with on any subject when the polls go the other way. I never said Obama was the perfect president. I have issues with him. But overall, I don't see how Romney is better for you or me. He's only better for the greedy richies looking to make their wallets fatter and add to their offshore bank accounts. Please make your point as to just why Romney is so much better for us over Obama. I find myself voting on just a few issues, likely every voter does, and on the issues that are important to me; POTUS is the wrong choice in every case that is important to me. Care to elaborate? In the words of Bob Beckel, "If the poll numbers are right, it's all over." landslide Romney. It's going to be way closer than it should be, but I'm afraid it'll be Obama winning my friend. Hell, even if Romney wins the popular vote, I think the EC will still give it to Obama because they just don't know what Romney will ACTUALLY do if elected president.
Rani
Well, let's see, on the other hand, Romney essentially informed employers they should threaten their employees into voting for him by telling them they'll lose their jobs if Obama wins, and now it turns how he has a direct financial connection to one of the major companies that makes the voting machines, which by the way, have been found unusually easy to hack. So, just how openly corrupt does this guy have to be before people begin they're being taken for a major ride by supporting him? If you don't think America would have turned on this guy already were Barack Obama white, you're lying to yourself. The voters would have never, NEVER have tolerated any of this from any candidate if there wasn't an unreasoning hatred of the president. Never! Anyone voting for this piece of crap should be ashamed of themselves. God knows the founding fathers would be. 'Rani
Venger
I will make you a deal. You find a black/Asian atheist lesbian that has a track record of honesty and is fiscally conservative (ie,lower spending, cut redundant social services, stop paying for abortions and birth control and health care and other programs that people should take their own responsibility for) and I will vote for her and lead the charge to put her in the white house. You are all fighting over what Rich Dude be he black or white is going to piss your money away and who's friends will benefit from that spending. The money will not come from either of them nor anyone you consider rich. It will come from people making 30k-100k a year. Thats most of us. How would YOU like YOUR money spent. Remember the federal government earns no money. They take money from you or borrow it from china and spend it on everything but you. Like free airplane rides for themselves and their families. Free food and rent while they are in power. Unlimited budgets that no one is keeping track of. I weep for my Son and his children when the bill comes due. Rani
Ray, you do know they pay for their own groceries, clothing, etc. while living in the White House and also their own transportation when not on official business? They pay for their own vacations, and while they continue to live "rent free" they still pay mortgages on the family home. State dinners are paid for by the government, but not the everyday food, lunches for the kids, etc. They essentially keep spending their own money to be there, so that's a complete misconception on the part of the public. They do get free postage for life, and of course there's the secret service protection, but that's in place 24/7/365 no matter where they are so that bill doesn't fluctuate. You can keep an eye on any budget you like for any department you like. It's all available at the various departmental websites. I'm not saying there shouldn't be some changes and the government become more financially conservative, but I'm tired of hearing this president blamed for things no president has ever gotten away with including him. How can we address the real outstanding issues when people keep confusing them with what they think we're on the hook for? 'Rani
Chreees
Third debate... They seemed to agree a lot on various foreign policy issues, maybe too much... kinda mindfucked me to be honest. Overall, I don't really think either of them "won" this debate.
TheScotsman
Something I can agree with cherieo on! What the hell was that? It was like some 1960 hippie love-in... with ties, and expensive suits. Wonder if the romney bus suddenly turned into a chartreuse VW microbus with pink flowers on it! I expected to see Ann Romney come up on stage in a suede vest and bell bottoms. All I got out of it is that pakistan is a mess, iran is a danger, and we all love more teachers. Very good job from the moderator. Didn't expect that at all from a hopeless liberal. Hell, I wish there was a viable, non-fruitcake third choice. Tactical win for Romney. He didn't shoot himself in the balls, and the prez didn't reverse the trend. Prez attacks bordered on childish.

Rani
We all know how I feel about Romney, so I won't even go down that road......... But....... I keep hearing the same things about Romney that I heard about Kerry when he was going up against Bush. Kerry did exactly what Romney has been doing. He started out with one stance, and then changed during the campaign based on feedback from the people. Romney started out Pro-Life "gonna make abortion illegal". Now he says there would be no abortion legislation during his presidency. (Annnnddd there goes the anti-abortion vote by the way.....) He started out insisting we should be boots on the ground in the Middle East. Now he says otherwise. He started out insisting the middle class was fine, now he's courting it. He's flip-flopped more than any other candidate besides Kerry that I can remember in my lifetime. Here's the thing....... In 2003, in GW's first term, in the construction industry we knew the recession was coming. We were feeling the first rumblings of an out of control Wall Street and the banking industry making deals we knew were unsustainable. I remember my boss at the time saying..."This is going to be a bad one. Worse than the 90's" when he almost closed the doors of the company. In 2003 construction knew it was coming. And shortly after that I was praying we were wrong and that Kerry would win because Bush clearly had no idea the bubble was ready to burst. GW was an inept schmuck if ever there was one. And people both hated and distrusted him. Yet because of Kerry's flip-flops, Bush won a second term. People don't trust someone who changes their minds back and forth. They don't even trust someone who changes their minds to please them. All those registered voters at home, sitting around, not answering polls, but filling out their sample ballots, are the ones saying they can't stand the flip flops. Those flip flops are going to be what's going to kill Romney's chances. And it's already showing. According to those early returns from absentee ballots, 70% are going towards Obama. 70%. You see, the biggest problem the GOP has, is that millions of people don't answer polls, and they don't blog or state their opinions online like the rest of us do. They don't listen to Lumbaugh or Stewart. They listen to the candidates and because nobody has a clue who Romney really is or what he really stands for, because he's changed his stance more than he's chanced his socks, (or in his case his magic underwear), they're not going to vote for him. I still expect a tight race, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit if it turned into an Obama landslide. Not because he's that good, but because Romney is that bad. Stuie
I didn't watch this last one either but 2 of my navy buddies started texting me about Obama's comment. "We have boats that go underwater."
TheScotsman
There are no "ships that go under water" in the US inventory. Submarines are BOATS not SHIPS, big difference. One would think the CIC would have known that. We still use bayonets, lots of bayonets. Being a condescending ass turns people off, believe my, I am good at it (surprising, isn't it?) It looked desperate, and amateurish. Think coulter got it right, Romney was being nice to the retard.
