So i finally had a chance to smoke al amir for the first time after my shipment finally arrived ( bonus extra box of coals was sent so im content.... thanks hookah-shisha.com)till now i used to think nakhla was the best/only tobacco worth buying ... then i discovered al fakher and thought that was the best cause it blew me away ... then i discovered havana and got used to it and it became my new favorite... finally after smoking al amir i think i have a new favorite with long lasting flavor all the way through ... never harsh on the throat ... and very easy to set up i think im a new al amir fan and am officially making it my favorite! ok now for the reviews ... three flavors .... aa lemon, aa carmel apple, and aa blackberry .... Al Amir Blackberry: Setup: 2 GOLDEN QL + MYA QT, foil. Cut: very gritty .. almost sandy but still wet like havana. Smell & Flavor: Smell is very sweet and strong like actual blackberry. And the flavor tasted alot like blackberry and lasted the whole session about 1.5 hours.(9/10) Buzz: non existantThickness: very thick smoke but not harsh(10/10) Overall: 10/10 Very impressed. Al Amir Carmel Apple: Setup: 2 GOLDEN QL + MYA QT, foil. Cut: very gritty .. almost sandy but still wet like havana. Smell & Flavor: Smell is a little off couldnt really get carmel or apple flavor from the smell of it. flavor tasted like the smell but pretty sweet and a nice smoke flavor out of it (9/10) Buzz: non existantThickness: very thick smoke but not harsh(10/10) Overall: 10/10 Very impressed. Al Amir Lemon: Setup: 2 GOLDEN QL + MYA QT, foil. Cut: very gritty .. almost sandy but still wet like havana. Smell & Flavor: just like a lemon as if you picked it ripe from the tree rubbed it on your hands and smelled it. taste however i dont think was for me... tasted sort of like lemon but could have been sweeter and i actually almost threw up trying to smoke it alone, so i guess i have to use it as a mixer in small doses or trade it for other al amir flavors(5/10) Buzz: non existantThickness: very thick smoke but not harsh(10/10) Overall: 5/10 if only it were sweeter like a lemon candy. Golden charcoal quick review : I used to use this company called STAR ... from a local market and they were really goood but they stopped importing them ... i found 3 kings to be the best ql's but after trying golden what i find better is that with three kings when you try to move the coal around alot of time you get residue that can get into the holes of the tinfoil and ruin your smoke and you constantly have to blow on it to get the residue out. with goldens that problem is non existant ... the coal pretty much sticks together and doesnt ash all over the place. thats all for now .... feedback appreciated !

i personally love the blackberry, but i have to mix it with something for a buzz, i need my buzz!!!

I smoked a bowl of AA Blackberry Saturday night. It never got harsh but I wish I could have gotten thicker smoke and more blackberry flavor out of it. So far I the only QL coals I've tried have been 3 kings, and noticed they were a little more ashy than the coconut and golden jap caols I have. I just got some golden QL's and look forward to trying them out even more now after your review.

with the aa blackberry the key is heat dont be scared to put on more coals i put two coals on it and packed it almost to the tinfoil ... smoke was nice thick and flavorful
