A few noob questions

Recommended Posts

I know we get a forum discount at certain sellers. Where can I find the information about the discounts? All I could find was arguments about other stuff when I searched for it...I'm particularly interested in discounts at hookahcompany.com and hookahkings.com, as I'm about to place a hundred dollar order between the two.

Damn. That sucks. I ended up only getting the hoses from HC (I don't know how well Tangiers unwashed, full strength tobacco will go over with all these people who've been smoking Havana for the last four months), and I switched out golden charcoal for japanese silver coals. I still hear good things about them, and you get more for less money. I'll be trying the golden coals later on though. If the flavors in the 5 pack were up to me to order, I wouldn't have ordered Soex, because I know it's crap just from the reviews I read. Unfortunately, the five people who pitched in cash each got to pick a flavor, and then we picked the Tangiers flavors on consensus.I know everyone says that the Tangiers can be a bit tricky to smoke, so is there any tricks I need to know before I spark that stuff up? I wouldn't want to waste any getting it right...

Only one person in 20 has a problem. Of course, they always ask what's wrong? So it looks like alot more than there are. Start off easy on the charcoal, add more. If it gets harsh, back off. You will get a good feeling for it with a tiny smidge of patience. Normally, most people feel half the coal is about the right amount. If the conditions aren't right, it may smoke weak for a couple of hours before it hits high gear. I recommend acclimating the tobacco when you get it for a day or so. Vanilla isn't as sturdy as Blue Gum Ball. If you overheat a bowl of vanilla, the bowl of tobacco is fuc*ed. I guess, I would experiment with the BGB first is what I'm saying.

No, when the humidity goes up, the tobacco smokes weakly for the first couple hours...it will smoke and there will be flavor, but after two hours or so, the flavor will run down a little and the whole thing will start smoking madman.
