aladdinshisha
I've made contact with Farida Hookah in Eygpt and decided to get some sample hookah pipes, but there's so many to choose from. I can order one large box, which can contain 6 hookahs. Since I've got no experience with Farida hookahs, can anyone make any suggestions on which models to get? KasbahBazaar
Here's my suggestion: Make sure to get insurance on the shipment.

joytron
All the pipes by them I have seen in person have looked really solid, but the zanouba will always have a special place in my heart. Heard they can be really difficult to work with though.

I've pretty much decided on 5 of them, just got to choose one more. Farida has a very large collection. Some are a bit expensive, like the royalty range, think I'll give them a miss. Do you know if, Farida shisha have entered the Shisha Lounges in the US. I'm based in the UK and all the lounges use KM.
Skoozle
All the lounges around here use either Mya or KM as far as I have seen.
Coyote
Egh. I hate going to lounges that use Mya.
Skoozle
Yeah, thankfully most are KM. Guarapo is the only one I ever go to that uses Mya. I have walked by some others in Alexandria that use Mya; haven't smoked there though.
Chreees
I think Eric of Tangiers might use some Faridas in his lounge, based off of a recent thread he made on his forum stating he was really impressed by them lately. If not, I'm sure somewhere in the world they are used in at least one or two lounges. Nothing wrong with Myas... If something was wrong with them, Mush wouldn't have used them in his lounge. Skoozle
At a lounge, I prefer Egyptian over Mya. I would be ok with Lebanese Syrian or Turkish too, but let's be honest, That's not going to happen in an average american lounge. Myas are too restrictive in my opinion. even though they are too restrictive, I have one and use it. But I use it because it is a 4 hose pipe and that convenience out weighs the draw back of the restricted draw in some situations. Myas are good for multiple hose pipes, but lounges around here use them as single hose pipes. This doesn't make sense to me. It's like driving a minivan without ever carrying passengers or cargo. When I use my Mya, I am smoking a bowl of Tangiers or Nak or AFDA that I packed and that makes the experience better. At a lounge around here, you're going to get a bowl of AF or if you're lucky, Nak that is not packed very well. At least let me smoke that with a decent pipe. At Hookah Bliss, I'm sure you could get a bowl of professionally packed Tangiers to smoke through the Mya and that wouldn't be so bad. An underpacked bowl of AF with QLs on a Mya is not something I want to pay $20 for. It's just a bottom of the barrel hookah experience.
