novicafe
Didn't know if you guys already knew this, but I figured I would spread the word; seeing that I've also seen the same tip on a few websites. If you have access to whisky, soak your tobacco in it and let it dry over night. Wake up, smoke it, and you should notice a bigger cloud of smoke. Skimo
yeah lol, whisky is the greatest liqour in the world but im pretty sure smoking it would taste like ass and be harsh as fuck, maybe its just me

Lakemonster
interesting.......I would wonder if teh alcohol in the whiskey would strip the glycerin from it.... would that shorten the smoke time till the tobacco gets harsh?
cymptom
As I understand, the glycerin is what produces most of the smoke. I'm assuming it's a joke, because soaking your shisha in alcohol would definitely extract tons of flavor and ingredients from the tobacco.
cafedelmar
wouldnt it be funny if the bowl of shisha lit on fire from the heat?
MrGuy
^^ yep that would be funny...i would be really ammused by that... lolYeah, i wudda thought it would strip the flavourings and stuff...
Lund
It does seem strange. But then again I might aswell try it. I both like whisky and hookah smooking so why not.

Calcartman
Do you have a noticeable drop in flavor?
novicafe
A very slim amount of flavor is dropped. Nothing to really make the smoke less pleasurable.
Guest Abide
alot of us pipe smokers use a little jack or whatever to clean out our pipes after a smoke, cleans it nicely and leaves it somewhat sweet without the sour pipe taste you can get using other stuff
Sonthert
I should think the flavors will be resolvated and washed away. Also the nicotine, if applicable.
Lund
It did work. Lots and lots of smoke. Then again I didn't want to waste any of my good tobacco so I used some old vanilla I had. It didn't have much flavor anyway.I think it tasted abit like whisky. Must try a more flavorful kind the next time. Or parhaps some dark rum. surfpico
Hmpf... I will have to look into this.
novicafe
Yeah its just something to do every now and then, like to practice your smoke rings. Not something I would do everytime I smoke lol.
malakas
Would this work with other liquors too? Maybe around the same proof? Using Jack Daniel's as an example (80 Proof) could I use like Grey Goose (also 80)?
GQ_Playboy
grey goose.... you're nuts! id never waste my greygoose for that... use smirnoff or something crappy! haha
malakas
Hahah, I have like 5 or 6 full bottles and maybe 2 or 3 half empty ones from a party a few nights ago and no whiskey. It's not like I'm depriving myself of Goose! That would be a crime.
Macho555
Huh. I'll try it with a bit of Smirnoff Cranberry.
