First Tangiers Order

Recommended Posts

So I got Noir Welsh Cream and Noir Peach Iced Tea! First Tangiers order and they are two out of four Flavors I have always wanted to try (besides Horchata and Cane Mint). They weren't available in Lucid. Did I mess up skipping Lucid? Any suggestions/tips on anything a beginner should be aware of? I'm so excited to try these flavours!

Nah, you didn't mess up by getting Noir. I usually recommend newbies to Tangiers get Lucid first, just because it'll give you way less trouble in the way of acclimation, packing, and heat management. Basically, you get to see how awesome Tangiers is right off the bat with Lucid instead of fucking up Noir your first time and getting discouraged from ever trying it again. Many mess up their first time, but some get it right. As long as you're patient and willing to learn, you'll have no problems with Noir.

No worries man. A couple other people hopped on, so I wasn't too lonely.

Need any help or advice with the Tangiers, feel free to hit me up and we can meet on TC and I can show you how to do it. Also be sure to take a look at my Tangiers Success thread (link in my signature). Look at others' advice as well. It's good to take in as much info on it as you can before tackling it. Increases your chances for smoking that perfect bowl. :)

But I also thought i was a know-it-all. and wasn't patient at all. lol

Anywho.. if you ever need help or have questions, you know where to come! i'm lurking both before and after work on here.. and am always willing to hop in TC to hangout or to help out! :D same with chreees, i'm sure

Well I just ordered one more flavor from hookah-shisha. It's getting here tomorrow and its the one out of four that I was most excited about trying... HORCHATA! To bad they didn't have it in lucid but whatever.

For those of you who don't know, I make Horchata for a living. That's mostly why I'm so excited to try it.

Thanks man. Yeah I'm acclimating the Horchata right now. The other two are getting here Thursday. I can't wait to smoke this stuff tomorrow. I defiantly smelt some of the cinnamon in it but it also smelt like a weird burnt BBQ sauce that I couldn't really put my finger on.

That smell is from the shit from the little kids Eric uses as slave labor to make his tobacco. He only feeds them BBQ from some local joint. It's a key ingredient in Tangiers. Once acclimated it'll go away.

Well I'm smoking my first bowl of Horchata right now. It's been going for about 15-20 mins and its amazing. It gives me a little throat tickle but the flavor is strong and smoke is huge. Also the buzz is awesome.

It's kind of weird because I was worrying about the acclimation process. I did the 4/20 method. Stirred every hour and closed for 20. But when I was done I smelt more cinnamon but still had a slight weird smell. Not like BBQ or soy sauce. Maybe it's just how the tobacco smells. Either way I'm satisfied with the smoke and excited to try the other flavors.Edit: I was so scarred I was going to mess the first couple bowls up but I guess I did enough research so I'd like to thank you all for the great information! that's awesome man! I'm glad you like it..

I do notice the slightly "off" smell on some flavors of tangiers even after they're acclimated. I think it's just the tobacco or some ingredient or something, but as long as it tastes good thats what matters!!

+1 for making the jump to tangiers
