I only use 1 33mm Three Kings at a time. And when the first one dies off a little I set the 2nd coal on an angle, leaning on the 1st coal. Like a ramp. That way all of the coal isn't touching the foil, its just providing more heat, this way it won't burn.

The only trouble I've had with packing the bowl like that is that the heat never seems to be able to get down to the bottom layers. I continue to add more coal, but the taste starts to get a little muddy. But other than that, it's been working great. I've been making a mound in the center, just enough to cover all the holes, mounding it up so that it bulges above the rim. I leave the sides empty, hoping to waste less tobacco
i spy an HK sticker , Paintball ftw.  good vids, you seemed so rushed in everything, smoking, packing bowl, etc. ahah you need to calm down and relax when smoking and shit its so much more enjoyable.
lol. I just did that for the sake of the video. Normally I am relaxed and everything.
i tried it your way and after about 2 minutes it was good, huge clouds, 20 minutes later all i could taste was burnt and not to much smoke... i'm thinking it was an acclimation problem though.
Hmmm.... was the tabacco stuck to the foil and charred up afterwards?

I get MUCH MUCH MUCH better results with quite the opposite approach to packing a bowl.. sprinkle in a little bit, loosely pack it down and to the sides, with almost a slight indentation in the middle, and making sure it will not touch the foil.. I get the same smoke, same flavor, lasts about an hour, doesn't use as much shisha, and nothing in the bowl is wasted..
