Does size matter?

id say it depends on what you want from ur smoking, it seems that
anytihng under 20" gets a stronger buzz, i assume because of less
traveling space and less water, and 20" - 40" you get less buzz but a
cooler smoother smoke, and anytihng over 40" just isnt needed unless ur
smokign with other ppl and its multi hose

Aye,I'd say anywhere from a 26"-32" and you should be happy.That would be considered to be a medium to large size.This way yer getting a buzz and a smoother smoke.

I dont think it does. My first hookah was like 10 inches, and it smoked
great and I enjoyed it alot. My next hookah was about 22 inches and it
was just about the same, maybe a little cleaner because it was newer.
My next hookah was the rotator which is 30 inches. It smoke dliek all
my otehr ones. My next one was 26 inches. And I have to say they all
smoke pretty much the same. I didnt notice a differential based on size
other than how big of a bag i need to carry it around. I dont think
size matters, you can get an enjoyable smoke out of any size hookah, i
think.

I have a 18inch jr. Sultan that hits like a champ, really the water does most the cooling imo
Start cheap invest later when you know you are going to do this very often

im thinking of getting a small starting off hookah does any  one know of a carring case for a small one ? also is the perfomrance less ?

www.tobaccoimportusa.com sells Sultan hookahs, many of which for about $10 more you can get a hard case with. I have the 18" junior setup with a hard case, its nice for taking out anywhere with friends. The bigger size hookahs also can be ordered with the same hard cases. The prices on their hookahs a quite good. They are made in china which some don't like here on the forum, but personally i don't mind (at least just for my travel hookah). Socialsmoke sells bohemian glass hookahs with hard carrying cases that a quite a bit more than the hookahs made by Sultan, but they are much different as well. With sultan you can get a 24" for probably $60 (guess) and the bohemians are about $109 for a 24", there is going to be a big quality diff. i would think, so just depends on how much you have, what you want and what you're willing to spend.
