cafedelmar
Edgeware Rd.There's the famous place with no name, also known as Miramar I think. But better is the small place across the street. But that street is the best. Sitting outside, smoking shisha, having a laugh with buds, watching the girls walk by... Sonthert
Oooh, oooh, go to Scotland. Get Scotch. Springbank...best scotch ever. the Mitchells have owned it for ever. One of only two Campbeltown distilleries still operating (coincedentally, it is located in Campbeltown).
MrGuy
ye, scotland and london aare only a few hundred miles apart... lol.
Sonthert
Ye, San Diego and Los Angeles are also a few hundred miles apart. In Southern California, some people make the drive every day to work. An average priced house in San Diego is in Temecula/Murrieta (Riverside County) or Imperial Valley (Imperial County). Each are at least 130 Km away, people buy houses there with the intention of driving. People regularly travel from San Diego to San Fransisco, its about the same distance as London to Campbeltown (although apparently, it takes 2 hours longer in the United Kingdom!) ghostofdavid
Tangiers: Do you like bourbon? Maker's Mark factory is within driving distance of here. Mmm... Maker's Mark.
Sonthert
I like Maker's Mark, makes a fine Sazerac (use real absinthe!) and a fine Manhattan (Use Peach bitters!)I prefer booze from the Bernheim Distillery (Old Weller, Rebel Yell, Fitgerald, Old Charter)
ghostofdavid
Are you an ambassador with Maker's Mark? If not, you should sign up. I have been since I was 21 or so and every year they send you a ton of free loot. Personalized golftballs, photos of a barrel with your name etched on it (after the several years it takes for it to be ready, you can go to the factory and dip it out yourself, into bottles), glasses, wax stirrers, and Christmas cards. Pretty awesome deal, you might say.
Guest LondonShisha
Edgware road is the best place to go - there are other shisha places dotted around, but nothing can beat the atmosphere of Edgware Road in the evenings, especially the weekends. The area is just around the corner from 'MARBLE ARCH' station (remember that), which in turn is walking distance from the central london shopping areas (Oxford St/Bond St). Donkeema
theres also a shisha lounge in TROCODERO in piccadilly circus, and in Bond street there is a really smart shisha lounge called La Vant, this is extremely busy at times though and during weekends and normaly nights you may have to book to get it. shisha in london can range from £5 to £10 as far as i know, but yeah, london is expensive, thats why i live there!
