03SilverTL
I have a 32" 4 hose stargate with washable hose's and after every use i clean it out with water and brushes. Im wondering if this is going to vastly reduce the life of the hookah. Should i still use the brushes but without water? Thanks
Macho555
Some people reccomend that you give it a good scrubbing after every 5 uses, while others say you should always do it. I personally try to scrub it out after every use. I HAVE heard that constant scrubbing could make it last less time.
Anpu
I'll run hot water through it after every use and use a lil vinegar (1:10) mixed with water in the base to cut any lingering smell since the smoke will spend the most time there. Works pretty well with me. If I get any noticable smell out of the pipe itself, I'll give it a good scrubbing
jtemes
everyonce in a while i squeeze some lemon juice in the water of my base and let it sit over night. smells fresh in the morning. i try and clean out my house every time but often i just get lazy. just dont let it go too long. it gets disgusting. EvansLight
i clean mine after each. Just rinse it with some water and a once over with the brushes. Every 3-6 smokes i give it a full clean, with lemon juice, and some elbow grease. I also randomly wash it if i feel like it

mushrat
I'd say nylon brushes aren't going to significantly reduce the life of your METAL parts...but thats just me.

Sonthert
I rinse the pipes with water after each use, only brushing as needed. Works fine. Break out the brushes when its dirty, not as a matter of habit.
