DizzyGuy Posted August 31, 2006 Share Posted August 31, 2006 Ok... so after I got my Stargate, I washed it out and sat down for a smoke... Used the mod bowl that came with it, foil, and alot of little holes and a 3King QL with my new AF Golden Strawberry... Crap all around and I kept on getting crap out of the hose, even though I've tried to get everything out. 2nd attempt, used the old style Tangiers bowl *this is after cleaning everything out*... It still was harsh as a mofo and the hose was still nasty. So today, I was DETERMINED to make it smoke better... Used my MYA bowl, a screen, windcover, 1 3Kings QL, and AA Vanilla. Beautiful I used my ghetto vynal hoses and it helped alot. I put the hose I got from Taqseem and it started tasting bad :/ So Vynal for now... any advice on how to fully clean out my hose? BTW, this is the first time that I've tried either of these shishas... No comment on the strawberry because I'm still trying to get it to smoke right. AA Vanilla was pretty good IMO. Wish it would have been a bit stronger, but I do miss the AW buzz :/ I think the vanilla will work as a good mixer, though.EDIT: Also, does anyone have any tips/tricks for using an old tangiers bowl or a mod bowl? I find that foil works best for this situation, and i use a toothpick and pretty much put a buncha holes in a spiral pattern in the foil. I pretty much do this with any/every bowl i have. Anpu Posted August 31, 2006 Share Posted August 31, 2006 Best advice I can give is make sure you're not packing your bowl too loosely, split the 3kings coal into halves and place them at opposite ends of the bowl, and to clean out your hose, smack it against the ground hard a good few times then blow out of it a few times as hard as you can. Repeat a couple times and you should be good to go. Also, I've found that AF goes harsh on me very easily so you may wanna try out some Layalina or some other brand that's a lil more resistant to readily burning. ZAP Posted August 31, 2006 Share Posted August 31, 2006 To clean the hose try using a vacuum cleaner.Wrap a damp cloth around the end (not the mouth tip) and then stick it into the vacuum pipe. The cloth is so it stays nice and tight. Then with the vacuum on just start smacking the hose on a wall/floor.Just an idea though... Fortunately never had to try it.
