DizzyGuy
So, yeah... I work at Target... Mostly, I work in the backroom stocking and bringing stuff to the floor... but as of the last few days, they've decided to have me work in recieving with the vendors and stuff... one of the things I do is recieve UPS and FedEx packages... So, I get a full look into the back of their trucks and how they handle some packages... it's rediculous. And if this is how they do stuff infront of people, how bad is it enroute? lilotaku
UPS = Useless Pieces of Shit80% of my packages are usually beaten to hell even though they have a HUGE COLORED STICKER saying FRAGILE!!!I'm pretty sure most UPS workers hate their jobs and their lives and they feel the need to take it out on other peoples belongings/shipments. MN Hookah
I have a few friends that work in the sorting plants in MN here, all because they pay for a large chunk of your tuition for college. They've told me stories about package handling to avoid shipping that way for anything if it can be avoided...
ghostofdavid
UPS is an excellent place to work and is rated so by outside companies all the time. Plus, any job where you get a work out at the same time isn't all bad. You get a big truck and tight brown shorts. Well, at least you get the big truck. Lukasa
I've never had a package arrive with anything busted inside. But then again everything I have ever ordered that is breakable has been wrapped in bubble wrap.

Lakemonster
I was told by a UPS delivery driver once that "...if you give us a steel ball, we can tear it up." Much of my work deals with UPS and FedEx delivered goods...... boxes have a sticker that says FRAGILE.. and its usually placed next to the footprint. GenuineHookahs
I have a good friend who works with UPS...I have heard nightmares!!! We use priority mail.. It seems that even tho UPS is slightly more reliable, USPS seems to handle packages and respect them a little more then UPS. I havent had too many DOA packages

Glottis
In my experience, the box is unmauled 90% of the time with fedex and very rarely do I get a box that is completely undamaged with UPS. Go for Fedex if it's only a couple bucks more.
DownZero
Seems like UPS topics have been flooding this forum recently. I've never had problems with UPS as far as broken items but I have recieved packages later than expected/scheduled. DHL isn't all too great either... I live in an apartment and all the packagest coming from parcel services are usually just dropped off at the office BUT a notice is left at the door of the reciever to notify that the office has the package... Well, no notice was left at my door and I knew a package had already been shipped. So I stopped by the apt office and sure enough, my package was there. I wish I would have been notified about my package already being delivered.I've yet to have problems with FedEx and USPS is great - fast delivery.
