What do you do with your ash?

I am smoking some hookah right now and was wondering what do some of you do with the ash thats on the coal. Do you leave it on the bowl or wipe it off? What about on the coal, does it affect the hookah if the ash stays on it? I think when I take the ash off, it makes the hookah hit harder

hmm.. After i finish a coal i tend to wipe it out and also i take the head and blow from the bottom to get rid of all the ash's inside of it. When the ash's from the coal get in  it gets harsher sometimes. just my personal opinion

but what about when you move the coal around and some ash gets on the bowl, does that affect the flavor?

Leave it, or wipe it off every hour or two.

not that much. its better to poke many holes all over ur head using a needle that way less ash's get in.

if u have a windscreen, just take the coal off, put the windscreen on and and blow over the bowl through the little holes in the windscreen. that way you dont get ash going all over the place.

I find it dampens the heat so i drop the coal in the bowl and get rid of the ash. The Japanese coals are good because they don't ash all over the place.
