You're Killing Me Tangiers...

Recommended Posts

I want so badly to order more of your tasty tasty tobacco, but it seems that the flavors I want are more elusive then an honest politician. When the flavors I want are in stock, I have to pray that they will still be available come payday, and often they aren't. It frustrates me that to order some of the flavors I want in Noir, I have to order from a different site if I want to try the new flavors from Birquq because no one site has both the ones I'm looking for. Does Eric grow/process his tobacco on the same site that his lounge occupies? I know his business is booming, but I know people have been having issues with availability for a while now, and this can't be good for his business. I know more then once, I have gotten paid, gone to place an order and found all the flavors I like are sold out at most retailers, so I go and spend my money on another brand.

This is just a rant on the availability of some of Tangier's flavors, not the product. So please don't let anyone think I'm calling the quality of the product into question.

You're not alone in feeling desperate for Tangiers. Luckily for myself I have a good bit left of my favorite flavors so I'm okay for the moment. But I was wanting to try many of the new Birquq flavors and cannot because they seem to have gone out of stock pretty quickly. Blows, man.

I wanted to try a couple flavors for a LONG LONG time! Finally I found 3 out of 4 of them and just pulled the trigger (even though I have a bunch of shisha)

Only thing I can think of is come next payday or when you have some extra cash, put money aside just for those flavors. When they come available then boom!

I know, I knew I needed a "rainy day" stash, didn't think I'd need a "holy shit, my Tangiers is in stock" stash. lol

There is a higher demand for the product now which produces scarce availability...more and more lounges are stocking it, cutting availability and causing more demand. More lounges stocking means more exposure to Joe q public, and that leads to more tangiers smokers, which leads to more purchases at vendors we shop at, which leads to scarce availability from above mentioned process to everyone and a high demand on tangiers factory which is backed up several months.

maybe he needs more people working production, would be a dream job for me

I'm more curious is Eric not really producing the "less liked" flavors. My only example of this is Blue Gumball. I know that's kinda one of those you like it or you hate it flavors, but I haven't seen that in stock on hookah-shisha or 5starhookah in like I'd say about 9 months or so. Does he retire flavors? I know I think I've read some people would sell their sisters for a particular Tangiers flavor, Blue berry was it?

I thought I just read of someone getting BGB . he does retire flavors, a bunch just gotvretired like Double Orange and Sea Buckthorn, I think Blackthorn and there were a few others.

out of the many many many tangiers flavors I've tried, blueberry is my #1 flavor, its discontinued due to flavoring agent problem, but rumored to come back(I really really hope its not just rumor)...I would pay $25 for a fresh 250 of it right now that's how much I love it

It's been in stock at h-s for a while now. Maybe it is just now out of stock but I had bought a total of 750gm of it with 2 separate orders over the last 5 months. So it has been in stock at h-s.

i cant imagine how much i can get for my 100gm of blue berry i have :)

but yah he retires flavors, and some just aren't prodcued till ordered.

Also the order in which tobacco goes is, his lounge, other lounges, local smoke shops, then online retailers. So if ur not somewhat local i know you gotta wait and it sucks. I feel for you guys and what not but he is working pretty hard they have a good crew. Like cane mint, that is the only flavor they make on fridays thats how popular it is.

I think if more people took a risk and smoked some less popular flavours they might find that they are equally worthwhile and enjoyable. Sea buckthorn was one of my favourites so I felt the sting when I saw that on the list.
You and me both. I began to prefer it more than Sour.

Has Sour been discontinued?

This is the reason I was sooo happy when Tangiers started doing 100 gram packs. I feel a lot less terrible if I buy 100 grams and don't like it, and throw it out(assuming I can't find anyone who would want to buy it) and writing off the $10 as opposed to buying 250 grams, smoking 1 bowl and discovering I don't like the flavor.
I think I still have a couple of kilos left, hon. :)

Just planning in advance. I try to keep at least a kilo on hand...it's good stuff!

I don't know if there are that many here that have been around long enough to know him...but a fellow tangiers lover, bulldog, says hi...his life is busy and he has his reasons for not being around anymore but he wanted me to pass on the hello to the fellow old-schoolers

Does eric work as hard as he wants too?

I mean that in a good way btw..

It seems like he is making money hand over fist by just doing something he loves.. I work for a company that is growing about 15% a year and all we do is.. what we do.. we dont try that hard and just let it ride. We actually tell people that we cant work for them bc we are too busy. we could grow faster but it would be too stressful. It seems like Eric might be doing something like that.
