jtemes
okay so I was just wondering if anybody thinks this would work. I love the new bowl but when I wanna smoke by myself it's such a waste of shisha because i cant smoke a whole bowl the way you gotta pack em full. soooo...wut if you just pack half of the bowl full (like to the top) and used the 5X5 method and only put the coal over the shisha. would that work????By the way after using golden japanese coals Im never using anything else. Twang
Would you be able to keep the foil from getting sucked down over the funnel hole?
Scalliwag
I was thinking you could get a stainless steel fender washer and put it over the funnel so if you wanted to use less shisha it would keep it higher up. But my guess is that the mollasses would leak below the the washer. But if it was a short session that may not matter?
THE NAMELESS
Yep it works. I do it all the time.

xpimpitox
I'm with you on those canary coals. sadly im broke and cant afford to order more, my local headshop doesnt carry these anymore im so sad! on a side note nour fingers really light fast although they ash like crazy and give it a slight funky taste at first, they smoke really well once the ball is rolling...but ill stick to canarys once this bag is out. lilotaku
what is the 5X5 method?
the 5x5 method is doing a row AND column of 5 holes.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You put the holes on the outer part of foil.Here's a thread on how Nameless did his setup with a Tangiers Funnel bowl.http://hookahforum.com/forum/forum_posts.a...W=tangiers+bowl
EvansLight
you forgot to add you then place the coal on it and rotate the foil around the bowl

Sonthert
The hole patterns make little difference on standard bowls and even less on a phunnel. You need one dead center (or a ring around the central phunnel) and a ring around the very edge. Thats it. Every other hole is pointless.
