It hits just like the other elmas pipes, at first I felt like the pull was a bit more restrictive but once the bowl got going it was the same as their other pipes. If anything, maybe the tiniest bit more restrictive but nothing noticeable really. Seriously though, it is the most bad ass pipe ever. A friend of mine sold me his canary for an insane price so i got one of those, holy crap, cleaning that thing is a bitch, it is heavy as shit. Stem alone weighs 7 pounds 5 ounces. Everything on it is perfect. Elmas' bigger pipes really are unbelievable, words cannot describe.
