Lukasa
Has anyone ever been able to get nakhla to smoke really thick? I've only ever had moderately thick smoke. Like a 3/5 at best on the */5 scale.

azcoyote
Because of its very basic taste structure, essentially just sweetness, I like to pour a little honey on Nakhla melon half way through the session. Really delays the bell curve effect.
Never heard it called that - are you refering to blood nicotine levels over time? If so do you think it delays the curve or flattens it? PersianPride
So whats the conclusion Nakhla is changing packaging and some of us honest, hard working forum members are being sold old Nakhla?

benny
i was told by the former importer of nakhla into aus, that the colour of the 'ribbon' in the clear wrapping is an indication of its vintage.Ie the blue/yellow series wrapping is either newer or older then the plain red one.I get this feeling it is newer, not older. That any shisha with the red wrapping is older stuff..Tangiers, you got any words of wisdom?Benny

lwieise
I got a box of that from a local middle-eastern grocer. Its the one in the green packaging. Its very dry but still smokable. I think it may be because it is old...its off-season where I'm at right now (SW Florida, USA) so it may be because of that. The guy said he has had a hard time turning his stuff because of that. I also bought 250g of Golden AF Mixed Fruit that is perfect.Anyone (Tangiers) have some tips to make it better. The flavor was good for about 20 minutes...then it got really bad and no smoke. Sonthert
You asked if I had any words of wisdom. The only ones I had for you didn't really answer your question. Just being a smart ass. Sorry.
