Help Me Find A Hookah For A Friend.

Recommended Posts

I recently got a buddy of mine into hookah. He wants to buy his own. His budget is around $100. What do you think is his best bet? He has only smoked out of my 28" Egyptian that I got from Social Smoke 6 years ago.

Kasbah's Khawanky pipes or HJ's Syrians (which apparently I can't link to) are probably the best value under $100, or at least the most different/interesting:

$85 - there's a chiller for $100.

I second Hassouni's nomination if you think your friend is serious.

I'm going to be in the MYA camp on this, I own a MYA QT, Smokes like a champ, good draw, easy to clean. Will leave plenty in his budget to buy coals and tobacco. Plus, I've had a few friends "get into hookah" then smoke for a couple months only to decide they weren't as into it as they thought(I know, this is probably the minority of people). So it that happens, he won't be out that much.

that package come with some free coconut coals, and 100 grams of free tobacco. May not be top quality tobacco, but not the worst.
Happy Hunting and your a good friend.

I am a huge fan of the Mya Vento http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-7709-vento-mya-hookah-1-hose-hookah.html

Nammor's don't get much love, but they are solid hookahs.

Nammors are great for new smokers because they come with a washable hose standard.

I think because of the price, the Vento doesn't get the love it deserves. It really is one of my favorite MYA pipes, though. I think with MYA most people don't want to spend more than $50 on a small pipe, but I personally would much rather the Vento over a Bambino or QT.
