The Chinese are now copying Syrian hookahs, so this could very well be Chinese. The bulb on the end of the hose port looks really off... never seen one like that before. Hard to see, but the purge valve looks like it's probably too different as well.

Lol at the Chinese tray with gasket instead of the intended snap-on.

considering all the bong looking things in the background (I might be wrong but they look like bongs to me) I would imagine he works at some kind of head shop and they usually sell knockoffs from my experience... though the only place in slovenia that sells nammor hoses is a head shop so who the fuck knows.

looking at it some more makes me lean toward being a possible quality syrian...look at the tray. Definitely not the one it came with. Looks like a Nour, but with that crummy tray thrown on it.

As for the Nickel double karakol, they DO exist, but I haven't seen one in the USA anywhere yet.

Here is a photo I got off of the Nawras site before it went down:

The hoseport looks similar to some of the syrians kasbah was selling.

I checked through a lot of the pics of the syrians he had closest I found. But majority are the straight ones like on chreees: al nawras

My first pipe was "breakdown" syrian similar to the one krapple posted, and my port looks the same. I wouldn't completely rule out that it is a Syrian, but I am almost 100% that it is not a Nawras or Nour (or anything made by that same company). On these types of syrians that can be unscrewed, nothing looks the same as on the solid one-piece pipes. If I had to guess, I would say the pic Twitchy posted is basically a larger version of this style of pipe and I wouldn't be surprised if it did unscrew and was not actually a one-piece.

Here is one of my Nawras that it seems was the inspiration for part of the design, the top shape at least:

Chreees is right, the Chinese have been making knockoff Syrian styled hookahs. I have even seen some sellers trying to pass off these Chinese replicas as Syrian pipes, so buyers beware.
