mushrat
Not sure, but there are a ton of manufacturers in Egypt. I really like it cause it looks a lot like the one seen in Firefly, which I have always been on the lookout for: How does she smoke? Looks a lot like one I picked up at a thrift store. Yup, it does indeed. Nice find for a thrift store. and you have it assembled correctly to boot. :)

deprekate
PS Chreees... Ooo, you pick up that nice old Turk? Yup. It is beautiful. I paid a tad much for it, but it was worth it. Its solid brass and the detail is great. Even the tray has a cast pattern, and the tray is welded together from 2 peices ( the outside edge pattern and the inside plate part). There are little holes along the tray and on each of the petals where either cut crystal hung or maybe chains? I never polished it because not sure if i want to keep the 100 year old patina. I also am not sure its Turkish. I think its just so old that it was before purge valves were in any hookah. The pattern just seems Victorian http://i.imgur.com/9gQFRIpl.jpg

The pattern just seems Victorian http://i.imgur.com/9gQFRIpl.jpg I'm pretty sure it's Turkish judging by the style of it (solid brass, hose port, flat/large tray, female bowl port). I tried winning one on eBay a while back that looked very similar to that one, except it was much taller. Turks and Tunisians are about the only hookahs now that you will consistently see without a purge valve. Purge valves are relatively new, starting with Egyptians and then Syrians following shortly after, around 20-30 years ago. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that. Regardless, it is a nice pipe. I say clean it up and smoke it!
