â€On
I am actually kind of interested in one of these, so definitely keep us in the loop! I don't think beginners should use these, as you would never get your heat management learned, but for people who have been doing it a while and know what's up, it might be a really nice alternative. Make sure you take some before/during/after pics of the pack/bowl so we can see how it does with a session.

mattarios2
Yeah, they may work, they may not. As far as I'm concerned, best case scenario is it works, but it's not worth the money.
Twitchy
i would buy it for 30 bucks roughly. but the fact that was the pre order price and the actually price is 60 dollars is ridiculous.
squidget
yeah - I got in for $25 because I pre-ordered. Anything over $35 is too much. I'm smoking with it right now so first impressions so far is...... It works. Some tips - put it on the heating coil for a few minutes otherwise the heat up time takes too long. By pre-heating you will get instant smoke. Other tip, use pliers or bbq tongs to carry the thing. There is a slit so you can supposedly carry it with tongs but that does not feel secure at all. The heat is even so you don't need to fiddle with the coals or move them around which is quite nice. The coals themselves seem to stay hot for longer compared to with foil/windcover. I will write a full review with pics later this weekend.
squidget
was denied an edit - other notes - it's not attached to the bowl, it just sits on top. I'm concern about it on top of a tall hookah with the dog. I'm afraid it would get bumped off, coals are one thing but coals and giant piece of metal is another. Right now its on a QT which is on an endtable. I think a better design would be a bowl with this attached combo, would be good for lounges. mustang67n
I've tired it while it was in it's "testing" stages I wasn't impressed, especially for the price tag. I didn't pack the bowl though, so it could have just been a terrible pack. The presentation is definitely sweet though!! I hope it works well for you squidg

Pavo21
So yah i had a friend that got this, and he was like OMG I GOT ONE! and i told him hes gay. Buttttttttt, he said that it took a while getting used to it and it ended up making his Tangiers even more flavorful which is crazy right?? So id like to try one maybe but would stick to traditional ways of smoking my hot

squidget
Smoking again - afraid to try it with Tangiers - AF this time. I would say it makes the flavor more intense, which could be good or bad depending on it. Last night was cucumber lemonade which became OMGWTFBBQ - it was really damn good. However right now its rose/plum AF mix, the rose seems more floral then normal. This could be poor packing on my part but yeah too much floral flavor. That said - I have to give a thumbs up... for the price I paid. It really does make my coals last a long time which is good for watching movies/video games. No more need to fiddle/rotate the coals in the dark. And it lasts a really long time. The coco cubes were still litle lit (tiny but lit) after 90 minutes. I normally get half that. I'm going to give it a few more smokes with different flavors/bowl types and a different pipe before I call it.

Bawhee
well from what youre saying it seems to be a pretty decent device, though a bit expensive...
mushrat
money I could spend on Tobacco and coals. I already KNOW how to manage my heat. But it is interesting to see what people are coming up with.
Bawhee
I like the prospect of coals lasting longer, cause them being so expensive here might actually make it worth getting one of these... but Im not sure how long it would take for this to pay off... Chreees
Worth $25? Maybe. Worth $60? Hell no. Seems like its cool and works well and all, but I'll just stick with what I know. As Mush said, more money for tobaccy and coals. Tapatalk'd via iPhone
