hmmm.... I know its unmarked but is the strawberry not burley?
Nah... I think Eric wanted us to figure that one out. I determined it to be Birquq. I posted my review for it here: http://www.hookahfor...456-strawberry/

Weird, I guess I have not tried the burley line yet.
I thought you said you did?

I feel it smokes a lot like birquq, but without the need for reduced heat, and has a wider margin of error than noir. I got the opposite response buzz wise than Chris My lady who, wasn't aware it was a new line picked up on that the first night we smoked. She said it felt stronger than lucid, but that she didnt need to watch the amount she inhaled like noir. I am really sensitive to nicotine but could not really tell the difference.

The smoke seems to be less textured like birquq, and doesnt give you that almost full feeling when you inhale the way noir does. Not sure if that makes sense and its pretty hard to explain.

Unless you thought the Strawberry was Burley... In that case, I believe it is definitely Birquq, just by comparing the way it smoked, the cut, the juiciness, etc. I didn't get a buzz from Strawberry, either.

I dunno what it is, but the flavor is just soooo damn good. I guess it's the burley tobacco. It easily replaced Static Lucid for me.

How was the buzz for you? Heat management? I loved how I was able to just throw coals on and not give a fuck, all the while getting thick dense clouds that never stopped.

I'm still trying to figure out how I haven't tried the static out of this set. The Cane Mint was insanely awesome last I tried it. It felt like it was cooling my lungs down. And the Burley did seem to have a stronger buzz.

Man...I wanna try some Static Starlight burley :( How does one try these out before release?
Now and then Tangiers will announce he is taking names for the pre-release testing. You have to get on the list. Or be an old friend and longtime customer. ;)

Cane Mint Burley is awesome. Is it just me or is Burley a touch more sensitive to heat?
To me it's not at all. It's way more forgiving.

they're having issues with production as is. I know everyone here is big on tang, and I love me some lucid (nothing else from tangiers seems to work here in houston), but how can new lines keep getting released, seemingly on a whim, while normal production seems to be a an everday struggle? I love the way tang smokes and the hardware they make, I just wish they didn't make it so damn difficult and somewhat pretentious to like them.

Production has increased. Vendors have been counselled about selling large quantities to other countries which has depleted domestic supply. No new retailers where accepted for a few months while production was increase and orders filled. Supply is on the upswing while we are trying to limit supply to foreign countries.

Currently new retailers are being accepted and orders are being filled. Since Birquq came out over a year ago only 1 more line has been created. This line currently has 2 flavours that are regularly featured in both Lucid and Noir.

I have Static Starlight and Cane Mint in Burley and both are awesome. No tobacco undertones, but rather a more "robust" flavor profile... Kinda hard to explain. It's more intense. And it packs a bit more of a buzz. First time I smoked it I tried standing up and fell right back down!

I smoked cb CM and cb KP the first bowl of each i did feel a bit of a buzz but nothing that lasted for ever, but im a pretty heavy smoker.  but i do not taste any tobacco undertones like in noir.

Also the CB flavours do seem more "robust" as chreeeeeeeeeees would say, the KP to me had a bit more peach then kashmir and the cm was just good of course lol

To add to Chreees' statement... The flavour of the tobacco in Burley vs. the traditional Tangiers tobacco used is different. Its more robust, deeper and more complex. Its far more aromatic and it also absorbs and enhances flavours more. It has a tendency to both smooth and enhance flavours while adding its own dynamic. Its very interesting. Static Starlight I thought would be terrible in CB but it was amazing. I prefer SS in CB now.

You can still taste the difference between CM Burley and Noir if you ask me but the CM is so strong that it may be imperceptible to those who have never had CM. Once the PALATE has acclimated its much easier to tell the subtle differences between the undertones.

I tend to agree that CB seems to give more of a buzz to most people than Noir. Though it could be because it tastes so good that people are pulling more often... or that could be just me ;)
