Nerdy
Has anyone seen a difference on the type of cut in the latest batches of tang noir? I ordered 3 or so kilos of noir and the cut just seems to be a much finer cut. More of the same sized pieces. In the same order I order 250g of a lucid and that seems to be the normal cut size. A mix of medium to fine cut. No big change in the way it performs, just a bit more love needed during packing. I didn't see any mention of this(at least from what I searched for)
Chreees
Yeah... This is one of the reasons why I thought my Strawberry Noir sample Eric sent me was Birquq. I guess he's doing the Noir a finer cut like Birquq is. Tapatalk'd via iPhone
Nerdy
Is there a reason behind it?? The only thing I noticed is that it's a bit more tedious to pack. Might be less undertone of tobacco also but it could be a placebo effect.
Chreees
I have no idea. Strawberry is the first Noir flavor I've gotten that looks like Birquq cut to me. Tapatalk'd via iPhone
Nerdy
Melon blend orange soda cane mint are the ones for me. I think the finer cut is a good thing. Gives it a good packing characteristic. Even thought it takes more effort to make it "perfect" IMO
Chreees
I found Birquq to be really easy to pack. Ensures that there are no "pockets" and it's easier to level off.
Nerdy
I spent the last hour tweaking my packing method with this finer cut. I see your point. I'm def liking this new cut When are you gonna be on tc?
mushrat
Could be how Eric is getting the tobacco from the producer.. Different tobacco orders could be coming in chopped in different ways.
Chreees
Excellent point, Mush. Semir: I'll hop on TC when I get to work here in an hour or so... Tapatalk'd via iPhone
skeetsak
my bro science says that it makes the tobacco pack in a more uniform manner and it might help the flavoring stick to the tobacco by creating a slightly more homogeneous mixture. or like mush said, it may just be a change from the production side of the raw tobacco.. i think this is more likely Edited December 31, 2012 by skeetsak
