Fang
I just made a homemade coal carrier out of an old cat food can, do you think it will be able to withstand the heat of the coals? I don't really want to spend the money on buying an actual carrier. Does anyone else have a homemade carrier, and how did you make it, or what did you use? I've seen someone use a spoon rest, but I couldn't find a metal one at the store when I was there today.
Bawhee
I use a very small coffee pot, đezva/džezva being the proper term for it in the balkan, works great.
mushrat
if you have a junk store or a thrift store get an old, non-coated pot. But ya, your can should work fine.

I think I'm gonna dedicate one to my coals now.
ChicagoRSX
I use a 250 gram Starbuzz tin, lined the bottom of the can with some foil in a brillo pad manner so it dissipates heat. Works great also for saving coals from session by snuffing them out.
Pavo21
i use my tongs, but im good with not droping them, but i have been known for holding 5-6 coals at a time with my tongs

Fouda
I use my tongs but haven't quite perfected the skill yet. My carpet has some battle scars haha but I have used a pot in the past and it works really well
â€On
I use a MYA coal carrier, and it's pretty darn awesome. The metal part can be removed (to allow easy dumping of cold ash), and because it's suspended, it doesn't get the ground too hot (I can set it on carpet with no issues), and it's easy to carry. I could probably fit about 24 coconara flats in there.

Rambo
I have extra trays laying around and just use that to transport to the tray of the hookah I'm using. It's a cheap and easy solution if you have extra trays that aren't being used.

Chreees
I probably should have picked up one of those damn Mya ones when the local shop had them for $10.
Coleman
You probably Wouk have sold it. Like everything else you always sell xD. Chreees are you an impulse buyer?

Chreees are you an impulse buyer?
No. Well... Sometimes. Depends on what it is. A lot of the time it's the type of situation where I'll buy something thinking I'll use it a lot, but end up selling it because I realize I don't use it enough to warrant keeping it around. I think you're right though, Coleman... I probably would have ended up selling this, as my cooking tray or pot do the job just fine.

I've sold ones in the past to get money for whatever new one I purchased at the time. For example, I sold Ty my KM OG Tri so I could get the shawty Nawras. I'm fine with having two or three. Any more and I don't think I'd know what to do with them... Bird is the word.
