Homemade Coal Carrier

Recommended Posts

I just made a homemade coal carrier out of an old cat food can, do you think it will be able to withstand the heat of the coals? I don't really want to spend the money on buying an actual carrier. Does anyone else have a homemade carrier, and how did you make it, or what did you use? I've seen someone use a spoon rest, but I couldn't find a metal one at the store when I was there today.

I use a very small coffee pot, đezva/džezva being the proper term for it in the balkan, works great.

Can we get a +1?? That is awesome.

Yessir :). We have like 64 of them, just waiting to be used. I think I'm gonna dedicate one to my coals now.

I use a 250 gram Starbuzz tin, lined the bottom of the can with some foil in a brillo pad manner so it dissipates heat. Works great also for saving coals from session by snuffing them out.

I use my tongs but haven't quite perfected the skill yet. My carpet has some battle scars haha but I have used a pot in the past and it works really well

I use a MYA coal carrier, and it's pretty darn awesome.

The metal part can be removed (to allow easy dumping of cold ash), and because it's suspended, it doesn't get the ground too hot (I can set it on carpet with no issues), and it's easy to carry. I could probably fit about 24 coconara flats in there.

I have extra trays laying around and just use that to transport to the tray of the hookah I'm using. It's a cheap and easy solution if you have extra trays that aren't being used.

You probably Wouk have sold it. Like everything else you always sell xD. Chreees are you an impulse buyer?
[/quote]

No. Well... Sometimes. Depends on what it is. A lot of the time it's the type of situation where I'll buy something thinking I'll use it a lot, but end up selling it because I realize I don't use it enough to warrant keeping it around.

I think you're right though, Coleman... I probably would have ended up selling this, as my cooking tray or pot do the job just fine.

Does this mean you have to sell one of your other ones? don't you have a limit of how many you can have?

:D

btw.. i dont like your new avatar.. i can never tell its you now lol

Who said I had to have a limit? I've sold ones in the past to get money for whatever new one I purchased at the time. For example, I sold Ty my KM OG Tri so I could get the shawty Nawras. I'm fine with having two or three. Any more and I don't think I'd know what to do with them...

Bird is the word. ;)
