Beats
Does anyone know how I can wash out my hookah hoses well? I can't figure out how to wash them well enough. If you can show me a video that would be great but if not anything would be great. Thanks
Kathrynx
Most hoses are not washable. If they are anything but totally plastic (like the nu-hose), they are prone to rusting. You do not want a big piece of rust to fly out while you are using it.

Pavo21
what kind of hose do you have? It might not be a washable one. Sometimes you can get away with washing it one time if its not "washable" but then rust will accumulate soon.
Chreees
Most hoses you can't wash, so I'm going to bet yours are not washable... Instead of washing, why not hook up an air compressor to the end of the hose, and blow it out real good?
mustang67n
the air compressor idea would be great. Or just blowing through the hose(s) really well before/after smoking. otherwise if it's not a washable hose, don't wash it.
Chreees
I always blow out my hoses and hang them up for a while after every smoke. Maybe that's why I don't really ever have ghosting issues...
Bawhee
definitely blow them out after every use
mushrat
If its not a washable hose, get another one. Hoses are NOT made to last for ever and inhaling rust is gonna be worse in the long run than spending the money on a new hose.
Coyote
Honestly I don't think I've ever washed a hose... not even a washable one. I should probably do that soon...
Philmatic
For non-washable hoses (95% of all hoses): I take the hard ends and slam them against each other, then hit the length of the hose with one of the hard ends to loosen up any debris and blow it out. I have been doing this with my daily smoking hose and I haven't tossed it out after 3 years. I smoke 6 times a week.
ezxen
Well if you get a washable How Dan washes a hose Lazy mans hose washing I start by pluging one end into the water hose then making shure i removed the tip i turn the water hose on high. Now thats for lazy quick for deep this is what i do First i boil water Tthen i mix lemon juice about 1 cup and one cup hot water Then i pour the water slowly through it a couple of times. then i add more let sit for half an hour then repeat rince of hose with hot water till the lemon smell goes away. Note: too hot of water can looses glue on the hose .
mushrat
hot water will undo what glue they may be holding what wrap there may be around the coils.

Coyote
I just got a bunch of nu-hoses and fancy hoses. I'm very happy with them. I had one before and its lasted maybe a little over 6 months before I chewed the end to hard and it broke... iirc the nuhose has a wider hose than the fancy hose. Plus they come in different colours so you can dedicate them to certain flavours.
