DrSmokes
With Tangiers tobacco, how many coals do you use on the bowl, and how long does the bowl typically last? I guess it could be slightly different if you are smoking Birquq...isn't that suppose to last a lil longer? I forget. I mainly just want to know how long each bowl typically smokes for and the configuration of the coals for each. king_lunchb0x
my pico lasts around 1 and 1/2 round of coals, if i used less heat right off the bat it would last a full 2 7ico 2 rounds crown micro (im guessing) 2-3 rounds of coal, mini i don't own small-i get bored of the flavor after around 3 rounds of coal. but some can stretch 5+ im sure med-don't own lrg-dont' own ---i don't get much difference with each line they all run about the same for me. Nerdy
There are so many variables here, it's crazy. The size of the holes, the humidity and the type of coal affect the life of the bowl. Also the foil. All of those can play a role in how long a bowl can truly last. I own a pico and a small, I get ~3 hours from my pico consistently. From my small I have yet to get to a point of figure out how long it can go until its no good. I don't think I could smoke that long enough to find out. I was at 5 hours on my small when I had people over and when they left I stopped the coal rotation. I'm sure touching 7-9 hours It also might depend on flavor. I know that different flavors have different longevity. that can play a factor. As for the lines of tangiers I used, I have only had noir and lucid. No real major change in the longevity from line. I have had cane mint in both, static starlight in both, Indian summer in both. Then the rest of the flavors I've had were one or the other. Hope this helps on the pico and small.

I just would like to add that I once went 8 hours on my Tangiers Mini phunnel. Your Small could have definitely gone longer.
dizzbizz
I have a two picos. I have only used OG and I get a solid three rounds of coconaras and a fourth with a windcover, but I hardly need to smoke that long. I start off with the coals in stonehenge position and once they ash a good amount I lay them down and prepare the new coals. Start those off stonehenged and repeat. a cliche affair
I've only had smalls but yes, they'll go 4+ hours easily. I get sick of the flavor or sick of smoking before the bowl quits.
