Does This Make Sense?

Recommended Posts

I went to my local shop and asked for Al Fakher, the woman who clearly knew nothing about her product (she told me km's were from Germany...lol) told me that she is selling 50g of Al Fakher for $25 and 500g for $95.. Now I may be fairly new to smoking hookah and I know in Canada they tax the shit out of tabaco but is this not ridiculous?

I've seen up to $30 for a 250 of AF in some of the local shops, and $20 for 50g of Taru at a cigar shop (which was paying taxes, clearly). Order online, always order more than 1kg, never order tobacco mixed with other things (pipes, bowls, hoses, etc) and you shouldn't have problems. If they stop it at customs and you follow what I just said, it gets sent back to the shipper and you can either get them to resend it or get a refund (minus your shipping costs). You mentioned you had success with Ultimate Hookah in another thread. Stick with them. Easy peasy.

Well, KM's are egyptian. And that does seem terrible for AF I get it for $10 USD for 250g. But I also don't know the tax laws of Canadialand!

Good luck buddy!

I think I just saw a ghost!!

.

But yes, that sounds about right for Canadian prices.‹‹‹‹‹‹‹

ITT: Americans talking about Canada as if they know the shit we've been through and the hoops we must jump just to enjoy something we love. LOL

Lol, I have seen enough complaining threads about Canadian prices before, so the prices the OP didn't surprise me...

I feel your pain on what you gotta go through. I FEEL YA, BRO.

It sucks because I complain about the prices here!! And we r the cheapest in the nation. Lol. Even complain about wholesale costs. That's bad. But I would do what I could to not pay Canadian taxs for tobacco also.

You could pay for your own health care :)

Right, I am looking into healthcare for me and my gf since we are both turning 26 this year, it is going to be 600 a month for the two of us, when we eventually have children, it is 1500 a month for a family plan. This is in Massachusetts, one of us may have to go get a job with benefits while the other runs the business, damn healthcare.

400 a month, is that with both of you working at the lounge? Or one working full time? I ask b/c 400 a month is a damn good price for a family plan if you are on your own ie. running your own business.
