Fumo Tank - Anyone Tried It? Is It Any Good?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

i am looking to get a new hooka and in the other thread I started, I got alot of help from you hookah gurus lol Mya, KM, and Farida...all look like great choices, but I will most likely be getting either a KM or Farida, but I stumbled upon Meduse, which I have known for a long time and they are not worth the money I am assuming, but also today stumbled upon Fumo and they look VERY interesting.

I noticed one of theirs was the Tank, and wanted to know if anyone had an experience with Fumo and/or the Tank model specifically?

idk maybe check their website, but i dont think they have any adapters for it. but i could see you doing it but its kind of pointless. the bowl is a phunnel. it does work with tangiers pretty well its a small. holds like maybe 15-20 gms its like a pico or #7. it smokes great with anything steam stones, AF, Naklah, Tangiers . i've smoked it all out of it.

I have the F-4 and agree it is a very cool hookah. The bowl on the F-4 is specially sized for the hookah plus it's a Male, Syrian style bowl so I think you have to use their bowls with their hookahs. In this case the bowl is a phunnel style anyways so....

I really enjoy mine and when i bring it to my local lounge now and then it always gets complements.

what ever happened to poncho's glass hookahs? those were by far my favorites.

They are still around, but seem to be doing more pipes then hookahs, but they do hookahs still.

but im notta huge fan of that La Coppa hookah looks to be so much. simple can be bettter for a reason.

If the La Coppa wasn't a common chamber, I would probably be interested in it. It looks nice, but it's just not for me.

My biggest problem with glass hookahs is that when I use a hookah, I want to be able to use the hose and bowl of my choice, not be limited by what I have to use.

i didn't say 200 i said 300 :) lol but yah, just gotta be careful like most people with their non fully glassed hookahs.  try being careful with a full crystal one. yah.. it sits, that was 3x the price of that fumo

is the bowl size the same across all the models? Would like the option of a bigger bowl at times.

I am unsure about this, maybe their website would tell you? look at the items and what not.

no worries, I sent them a mail - the bowl on the tank holds 30g

Thanks Mush,

To answer the bowl adapter question I have considered making one for our hookah line but I couldn't judge if would have enough appeal to add the part to our product line up. I went as far as doing a draft drawing of the adaper part that i thought would fit most non-ground joint bowls but I didn't actually make one. I haven't made up my mind to make it or not.

Based on customer requests I plan on making a smaller bowl for shorter sessions, a larger wider bowl and a fruit head adapter. They are all works in progress and should have them complete and available sometime soon .........

Also, I think things people should consider when purchasing a glass hookah is if the glass hookah you are purchasing is supported by the manufacturer in terms of replacement parts. I think people think in terms of all or nothing when it comes to breaking a glass hookah and perhaps this notion is well founded by past experience. If you (or a friend) accidentally break a bowl, downstem or other part look to see if your manufacturer can just replace those parts. In our case you only need to replace the broken part and not the whole unit.

Dan, great answer :)

Glad he chimed in becuase i would love to order maybe a bigger or newer bowl for our old fumo pod. i do like the size i would just like a longer session sometimes.

But I dont really think a male adapter would be necessary but I am sure it would be good business and be more ground breaking in the glass community.

I love when companys come and talk on the boards about their product shows they care.

Many of our customers have been requesting a wider bow that is shallower. I'm making one this month to test it out. Hopefully it will satisfy some of the people who like the layout of the more traditional bowl. There is an old saying "give the people what they want !" hopefully the new bowl when we roll it out will be well received!

This is an awesome forum and kudos to Mushrat and the admin staff for doing such an excellent job!

Any question you have I don't mind answering. I love hookah so it's my privilege to be able to get some direct info to the members.

  • 2 weeks later...

@Dan I actually just received my tank this week (yes, I bought one.  Weeee, tax time) and I would love a bigger bowl.  The included is good for 2 people but if I get to 3-4, a bigger bowl would be better.  That said, I smoked twice yesterday and it was fantastical.

I will do a proper unboxing thread later.
