chinamon
ok heres the situationtuesday night and wednesday night i smoked havana grape out of a brand new hookah. i cleaned the hookah thoroughly (stem, bowl, base) with the brush set that came with it and rinsed out the hose with water and dried it with compressed air. tonight i decided to try havana pineapple and it kinda still tasted like grape a bit.. or the flavour was very weak. what am i doing wrong? PersianPride
Wash it with a little bit of white vinegar that instantly kills any smell/taste. Also if you pick up your bowl you will notice that the clay bowl doesn't retain smell but rather the rubber grommet. Did you maybe just wash the bowl without the grommet
chinamon
my bowl is stainless steel. the bowl grommet is on the stem. i rinsed the grommet.

chinamon
sounds liek such a pain in the ass. it might be easier for me to just have one hookah per flavour. lol
PersianPride
Well normally it takes quite a while for this to happen. Unless you have been smoking a lot of different flavours very frequently.
Sonthert
Grape is a very sticky flavor. Beer or 10% alcohol in water works well.

aerorox
i wouldn't. use only water or some tooth paste cleaning the stem. but having used tooth paste, clean it with water again very good, so that the next bowl doesn't taste like it. Sonthert
Isopropyl alcohol will work, I don't avidly advocate it because it is harmful and poisonous, but if you allow a couple of hours to let it dry, before smoking, it should be OK. I think beer is better...buy a 40, drink the rest. Blue Lantern: Cleaner. Beer OR 10% booze in water.
