Base is too small... This stem looks so goofy in person. Weighs about 5.5lbs and has a downstem wider than most KM's... I'm unsure about it. The tray is connected to the stem, might unscrew but it's all soldered together.

El Nefes? Where did you get it? and How much?  If it was like $50 or less than it isn't to bad plus it probably has a very open draw!

How does it smoke? Also, Does the downstem touch the bottom of the base?

The downstem is fairly short. Turkeysonline.com is selling it with a threaded brass base for $140 + shipping. But I bought it from a guy who sold me an El Nefes Pasha that had some defects (completely solid hose port, had to do a lot of custom work on that one) for a great price. I'd rather not say how much I paid, but I already have a buyer lined up if I decide I do not like it.

Smoking it right now and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. My roommate fell asleep when UPS tried to deliver a large order of Desi Murli, so he went down and bought some Soex Pan Masala, Pudina, and Roohafza to make up for it. I'm actually enjoying the Soex even though it is tobacco free. Flavors definitely are not strong as Afzal, but it should hold me over until UPS gets that package dropped off..

I found a similar pipe from Turkeysonline on ebay but it isn't on their website. It has a slightly smaller lotus tray and more bulbs.

I might get it in the future but as long as you like it and you got a good deal thats all that matters. It looks very good on that Egermann!

Thanks man. I'm not 100% set on it, but after selling my Lotus tray (and seeing the price go up yet again, even 5star is asking $100 for it now) I might as well hold on to it for a while.

Had to snap a full collection picture before shipping off the Elmas 632. I fixed the bowl port on it, don't worry. My roommate is selling his Pasha and buying my Colonial Sultan, so that is now sitting on his Turkish base for good! Another friend wants to buy the Canary setup, so I am sadly considering it. But he owns my old Elmas 618, so a trade might happen... I love the Canary, but it is just too tall for me. I have used it twice now.

Tall pipes have their advantages. They keep the smoke cooler, longer if you have ice in the base. Also what happened to your other pipes on those Mya Romas (romanian bohos) bases? you sell those? Roma bases are pretty nice! I love the look of it on my nickel pipe.

Ahhhh don't say Roma! That is the English word for Romani, or gypsies. Lol anyways, I sold one with a KM Beast, another with a KM Mini Kamanja.

I just don't like tall pipes because most of my smoking is done at my desk, or on my couch where the pipe rests on a small table. Less work for me to stand up and move coals around, and I have not been able to rest a large pipe on the floor since I adopted my dog.

lol I didn't know it was an actual term lol ill just call them robohos then!  I learn something new everyday on this forum! I always liked medium sized pipes. To me the sweet spot is 25-29" Small pipes have their advantages too i have a small Nawras sitting around somewhere in the basement small little nickel pipe i can't use it though because i never find it it's in 1 of the basement boxes lol hopefully i'll find it on 1 of the weekends. BTW how tall is that Canary?

It's about 30" without a bowl.

Nice it's taller than anything i have right now! mt tallest pipe is like 27" w/o a bowl!

2 problems I am having: Canary is too tall! I was considering trading it for a 618, but I love the canaries. Colonial Sultan has too wide and short of a downstem. So why not shorten the Canary stem and lengthen the Colonial Sultan? Just got started on that project :)

Thoughts? I have not cut the downstem yet, so I still have time to reverse the process. It looks exactly like my old 618 now, and I think I like it better this way.

Well what I said earlier, and really the Tokel Canary is the same design as the Elmas 639... which is the 618 with a 3" spacer stuck in between. I think If I were to buy another large pipe, it would have to be full-cast, not just a modified version of an existing pipe.

I really took my time with grinding down the original solder and applying my own. It looks cleaner than ever.

I think the only pipe that is full cast is the 628

Drove 5 hours to some boxes on my porch. One is from Turkey, this is good... Open it up, it's not the pipe I specified but instead a 628 copy

Pretty stoked for a new stem, especially the new base, but... oh well.  He used a huge box, which really bums me out. I thought I was doing him a favor on shipping by not ordering a tray.

Thanks Hass, I love the bowl you sent me. Quality, the casting is nicer than El Nefes. But not as nice as Elmas. Some rough spots, not so "crisp" details, but the rest looks just like an Elmas. Slightly off-centered tray rest, bowl port is very large compared to other Turks, and the hose port has more restriction.

Overall I love the stem, used it twice for some Othmani Aegean Spice and was very thrilled with the results. $45 for a stem? I would do it again, only who knows what I will get next time...

Sold the mini Beast, Temsaah, one of the Pashas, and picked up this mini Kamanja.  It looks nice but the weight and hose port/downstem thickness is nowhere near the Beast or any other KM I own. I need to swap the downstem and the hose port with something heavier. A 10" Egermann is on its way (thank you Mark!)

I want to sell the silver Syrian but it isn't worth anything. Just trying to thin down the collection...

Also a question to you all: I never use the Trimetal but it has some sentimental value... First "real" hookah after owning some Chinese. I bought it and it arrived after a long day at work. I raced back to my girlfriend's apartment only to see a note on the door from UPS. We drove through traffic and got so lost, ended up arriving at UPS 2 minutes before they closed. It was our first real "bonding moment" over hookah early on in our relationship. Smoked my first Tangiers in it and had a whole bunch of good times with my girlfriend and that Trimetal. Well 2 years later and she wants a watch, and I want an Elmas 639. So next month we are going to give some gift-giving. My question is this: sell the Trimetal because I never use it (even though I won't get much from it) or keep it tucked away for a rainy day?

Sell it. You will get a lot of money from it. It has nice design and carving, so I believe people will love once you put it at sale

Just got this stem in the mail. The wide-open draw is very weird, I am starting to see why I sold my first Regal now... Hopefully I like it before my roommate wants to buy it.

Picked these up on eBay for a decent price. The base appears to be crystal (design similar to my old Egermann) and is flawless. But I would not be surprised if it was not crystal. I should take it to a specialist, there is some gunk on top of the gold paint that I am afraid to clean off.

I was watching that purple. I had a feeling you were bidding. The only thing that scared me away was that the vase looked like clear glass with purple inside, otherwise it does look boho.

Also were you bidding on that brass and black anodized Syrian?
