QT Setup

Ok I will most likley place my order for my Qt today but I was just curious to the best way to set it up. Like water level, how to pack the bowl, etc. I want it to be the best smoke since I havnt smoked hookah in a bit, then in 2 more weeks im getting the new Tangiers bowl and a couple flavors, mmmmmmmmmmm haha

Hello you want your water level to be one inch above the bottom of your stem. Also use a metal screen if handy.Better flavor. Try putting your vase in the fridge for a period of time to get nice and cold. also put your stem in the freezer. put it together and smoke thru it. For your little vase you can aslo add a Half of a Shot glass of Whole Milk.This makes your smoke extra creamie. Also the fat in the milk also absorbs the last of the TOxin. So your gaetting a refined smoke as well. When you load your bowl use your fingers to load a light and fluffy bowl. Then take your hand and cup the bowl to cover it. Blow gently in the bottom of the bowl allow air to escape when you do this. Try not to loose any Shisha while doing this.. this will create air between the leaves of the shisha. Better smokeing for you. Light Coals and away you go. Oh break your coals up. Place them on the edge of your bowl and rotate your coals.Simmer don't burn.If harsh and a burnt popcorn smell and flavor and is choaking you. remove some coal and rotate the coal.Smiley

I got one of these pipes for Christmas from my boss! I LOVE IT! For being so small it smokes amazingly well. There is a little line where the vase curves up, I usually put my water about an inch below that. The fridge trick is awesome too. I usually put the whole thing in the fridge (minus the Tray, bowl, and hose) about 20 minutes before I smoke. It's so small that it doesn't even need to be taken apart to fit in the fridge!-I don't know about the milk thing, it sort of grosses me out a little, But I guess I can't knock it untill I try it. haha

I pack the bowl like I pack every other bowl, loose sprinkling. Use foil with the QT, I find a screen too difficult to manage. I had to experiment with water level, but 16oz seems to be perfect. Take a poland spring water bottle, have a sip or two, and drain into base. Works pretty well.

thanks, yeah i was looking for an amount like nuschultz gave me, when i find out the best way to smoke it i want to be able to duplicate it everytime with no problem ya kno? also does anybody know if the hose it comes with is washable?

All mya hoses are washable I believe.

hmm smileys seems to be generic hookah setup which is actually perfectly fine for the qt, works the same. Only diffrence when i set mine up is i fill up half way up the large part of the base. I find its the perfect water amount for me and yes the hose is washable.

water halfway up the big part of the bowl (its like segmented into 3 parts), foil with a buncha toothpick holes, and I found that 1/2 stick of a japanese easy light was perfect
