Carbopol Ring Charcoal

Anyone ever used these? They had them at a lounge I went to the other day and they were nice. I picked up a few rolls and I'll do a review after I use them

ya not quite sure what the point of the hole is but they seemed nice.  I'll do an in depth review in the coming week.

the point for the hole in the middle is for air flow, so they dont get dark in the middle and so that it fits over the whole bowl, becuase they are a lower heat QL coal. but i like them. minus the over heated explosion i had lol. but they are nice.

I did notice that they put out less heat at the lounge. Guess I will have to play around with them to figure out the best way to smoke them with my crown micro

I had the same experience. It wasn't with that brand but the same concept.

 

Honestly, I don't think it's a bad idea. They work well on a phunnel - once you need to rotate, just tap it so it breaks and you have three to four smaller coals to play with. My only issue was the flavor. They tasted very Exotica-esque.
