Sublime1304
I know shisha can expire but I have a tub of AF Mint and it bought it last fall and just finished it off yesterday. There was a time where I didn't smoke any of it for like 4 months. The next time I tried it it was very strong an tasted. Little funny. I know it's a very strong shisha but it seemed odd. Could that be normal? It was always sealed up and put away, never exposed. Can anyone confirm if it sits for too long, it'll go bad and taste different
Fouda
I don't think it should. Didn't someone on here smoke some tobacco from like 2006?
â€On
I believe the expiry dates are, for the most part, put on just so if someone gets a bad batch they can say "oh, well, it was expired". That's just my theory, because I have smoked some old tobacco and it was fine (occasionally needing some glycerin and/or honey/molasses to "freshen it up"). That being said, I've read about specific brands that have problems, the early Desi Murli mixes apparently had issues with mold after a while, but I don't know much about that other than hearsay. Hassouni
Expiration pah. Unless it visibly looks bad, don't worry about it. I've had stuff from several years ago that was just fine. What you want to address is moisture loss, but this can be remedied with some glycerine.
Sublime1304
Ok thanks. I was just wondering because it didn't taste as good as I remember it before
â€On
I often find if I've left a mu'assel sealed in a container for any period of time longer than a week, the flavor slightly changes, but acclimating it fixes that (even just leaving the container open for 20 min or so, mixing it every few min). Doesn't matter the brand, everything I've ever tried pretty much suffers from this, but stuff like AF really is affected by it. That's probably all it is, no big deal. To quote the jigga man, "let that bitch breathe".

This. I've smoked Tangiers that I know was at least 3 years old and it was fine. So I'm not worried about any of my tobaccy. :)
Rani
Juices sink to the bottom. We stir them up before we pack, but still it remains wetter on the bottom as the juices continue to sink. The closer you get to the bottom of the container, it's logical it would intensify the flavor because you've got all those extra juices. I love the bottom of my AF vanilla for just that reason. Can't stand AF watermelon past the half way point for that same reason. And essentially none of the juices are made from natural flavors - it's all artificial. Nobody squeezed an orange in your tobacco for instance. So more juices, stronger flavor and more likely to taste the "artificial" overtones. â€On
Good point ^, I've noticed the same thing with AF Watermelon in the past, but totally forgot about it for this post.
Sublime1304
I forgot the juicer it is the stronger it tastes. Figures I packed a bowl or pirates cave and noticed it wasn't as juicy as I remembered (just bought it) and it wasnt very strong. Assuming once I get to the bottom it'll be stronger. I ran out of my first tub of mint, on to my second one now. Ill have to see how it is especially at halfway. I do stir and shake mine everytime
dizzbizz
I think it depends on the brand. I currently have some SB Sour Apple thats expired and tastes nothing like it should. Smokes ok cloud wise but thats about it. I've never had shisha long enough to expire haha. I bought the SB half off because it expired. Really the only way to justify the price
king_lunchb0x
I will say this, recently i saw some Starbuzz from 2009 it looked a bit dry but main thing was the smell, it wasn't very strong. But i didn't smoke it so I don't know if all that translated to smoking. Also each brand is different.
