Cane Mint ...

Recommended Posts

Since there is no cane mint out there and people seems to be hoarding kilos upon kilos. I'm here to figure out what the next best is. I like me some AF mint but it's not "sweet" enough as CM is. I'm looking for a strong peppermint with a touch a spearmint and sugarcane. Any suggestions?

Shameless plug; My genie boho is for sale :-)

Absinthe is basically cane mint with some undertones of anise. It pisses me off because legit absinthe is my drink of choice and it tastes nothing like that, but it's worth looking into.

My thoughts exactly. My wife tasted it and was like, "I just taste mint." :P And I've never had absinthe before, but my two friends who also smoked it said it's not very accurate to the drink either. All in all, not a bad smoke. It was more or less double apple mixed with mint.

Nakhla mizo mint is the closest in flavor from my experience. I say go with that.

also, i like the absinthe flavor.. but it's not absinthe tasting lol. it is good though, if you don't try to hold it to it's name

For me Absinthe has been a lot more subtle on the mint.  My batch anyways could be the burley tobacco though.  Mine is more heavy on the anise flavor and earthy undertones and the mint has been very subtle slightly sweet mint.

That's how mine was. The cane mint aspect of it was weak. AF mint was stronger than my absinthe mint. I might go the mizo route. Some one sell me some cane mint??? Plz???

How come no 1 mentioned Fumari Mint or Social Smoke Absolute Zero? AZ is the closest thing iv'e smoked to Lucid Cane Mint it's like Cane Mint w/o any Buzz :-( AF mint is also really good. Nahkla mint is a Menthol like Cotsi said... Also Fumari mint has a great cooling peppermint taste to it. both of those mints are better than AF mint imo. I have to try Fantasia's mint as well. Anyways there are always other options for mints. Good Luck at making a good second choice. :-)  Cane Mint Noir Line is my fav though I was only able to secure 1 250G bag in a trade for 2 Nahkla 250g Flavors lol

Well, not liking the drink i only tried few puffs of the Absinthe. But i tasted mostly Anise with a little mint. Do keep in mind that with many brands, including Tangiers, if there is mint mixed into the flavour, and you get it a bit too hot, the other flavours tend to drop away leaving the mint. So those of you who olnly or primarily tasted Cane mint in your Absinthe, it may have been your heat rather than the flavour. Just saying....

The thought crossed my mind, as I have experienced just that before, but before AND after acclimation the container absolutely reaked of cane mint. Took a lot to even smell it, which leads me to believe it was actually the mix and not my methods. I am pretty sure my batch may be different than those of you in the sample group. I ordered mine from 5star and I don't think it uses burley. It certainly is just labelled with the noir label.

If you want an insanely strong mint flavor, get some liquid mint extract and add it to any shisha or the water.. it can at times be stonger than cane mint

Yes, I'm certain he would. If you plan to get a lot though, I'd suggest calling ahead of time. Either way it's likely your friend will have to wait a while before getting it, I've seen people waiting over 4 hours for eric to finally get their order together lol

I was just lucky enough to get to try the burley version. Though when I smoked it at the lounge it was definitely more minty than smoking it at home.

Ha! Oh man.  I'm not getting that much - just enough for me (2x250g)  I'll call ahead and see if that helps.  Thanks!

Correct, Absinthe is made in Noir, not Burley.

Knew it. To be honest, I'm not sure I would notice a difference if it was burley. Mint flavors seem to always just completely overpower everything for me. Maybe I'm just really sensitive to mint or something, but I barely get anything but cane mint when I smoke Absinthe.

yeah, for me absinthe is like cane mint with a hint of yellow apple. I like it because lately any apple flavors haven't been enjoyable for me, but i'm in love with absinthe.
