If you're located here in the States, then it's hard to obtain Turkish made hookah tobacco. But if you do find it, it's pretty good stuff. Best of luck man. Few people on here can point you in the right way once they see your thread.

I could, I'd have to dig up the sites, but honestly it's CRAZY expensive. Like, €15 a 250 + shipping or something absurd like that. Kilos are €50.

Is there something different about Turkish shisha? I mean over all. I'm sure they have their own flavors, but I'm curious.

Othmani is Turkish, you can get it at medwakh.com, cheap shipping and the flavors are excellent from what I have heard. The fruit flavors are not candy like, rather more natural tasting.

Does Othmani SAY it's made in Turkey? Because otherwise I HIGHLY doubt it.  There's really only one factory in Turkey that makes the good stuff on a mass-production level, that's the Smyrna Tobacco Co, they make Rosanna and a couple others.

Under Adana Berry it says this:

Our Turkish moassals represent the most primal flavor profiles,
moassal as it was made and smoked 400 years ago. Nothing too sweet,
darker tobacco tones, and an emphasis on spiced flavors. The tobacco
used for these flavors is a richer more robust darker tobacco, and the
flavors added serve only to complement and enhance the premium imported
tobacco.

Now it doesn't say that it is MADE in Turkey anywhere but I'm sure if you email them, Bassem will let you know whether or not it is.

Keep in mind "Turkish tobacco" is merely a style of tobacco - most of it comes from the Balkans. It's likely to be a reference to that. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_tobacco)

Also most of Turkey was smoking plain unflavored tömbeki until quite recently, so that's some nice made-up marketing there

Edit: upon further research, Othmani has a "Turkish line," "Lebanese line," "Arabic line" and forthcoming "Khaleeji line"...and I bet they're all made in the exact same factory.

Rosanna/Elmas tobacco is the stuff I tried, what Hassouni is talking about. Premium grade A shit, man. Some of the flavors were light, but man were they good. Caramel is like their king flavor. It's seriously mouth-watering.

That's some good research! I wasn't aware of Othmani's other styles, that's good to know. I suppose it's safe to say that it's not made in Turkey. Now Othmani pipes on the other hand, I believe those are made in a Turkish factory. Don't quote me on that though. I'm going to ask my friend from Turkey about how to acquire their tobaccos. She has said they have oodles of plain tobaccos there.
