KnightHawk63
Well the nickel plating on my Hope Leo is a little splotchy in areas where the natural yellow brass is shining through. Is there a safe way to remove this plating? I don't want to scratch the crap out of the yellow brass with a buffer/sander.

A Sharrp SYBIAN
paint thinner wouldn't necessarily hurt the brass but i think it could take away some of the shine. I'm no expert though.
KnightHawk63
I actually read up on another forum that strippers and chemicals might mess up the brass underneath but apparently steel wool will be able to remove the nickel plate without harming the brass, as long as the steel wool is fine.
