Twitchy
was talking to pavo and he mentioned this, could this affect flavour?
xSoyer
I smoke mine in my basement, on my porch, in my buddies basement, and at my work.. No difference between any of the sessions minus having to use a windcover outside..
KnightHawk63
I'm not sure why it would affect anything honestly. Unless you stored tang in your basement, which I still don't think it would.
Skoozle
The fact that it's a basement shouldn't make a difference. The difference could come from a change in humidity. Like if you store it in a dry place them smoke in a humid basement it could get a little humidity shock. Also, if you smoke in an American basement, you would get flavor instead of flavour.

Pavo21
the reason i had that suggestion, because he wasn't able to get flavour from his tangiers, but no issues withe nak etc. so figured humidity in the basement, because most basements are colder and what not. if not i can rule other things, but it wasn't just 1 flavour he wasnt getting. so just gotta figure it out i guess. I'm still laughing at this. I think the reason you are having issues smoking in your basement is because of all the flooding in calgary. How is the bowl supposed to warm up enough to give you good smoke and flavour if it's under water?! In all seriousness, though. I have an in house humidifier that runs only on my top floor, so the difference between floors in my house is pretty huge for humidity. While I do notice some difference between smoking in my basement and smoking upstairs, it's mainly in terms of cloud production, not flavour.
