Nope, Al Nawras used different purge valves too across their models. ;)

wouldnt say that exactly, from pics of the nawras site ive seen theres really only 4 variations on the hose ports and purge valves, if you ask me seeing the purge/hoseport and the heart of the pipe you can ID if its a nawras almost certainly

You know those purge valves screw off, right?

I have seen them for sale loose and I'm pretty sure they would fit most generic Syrian hookahs.

That's kind of like identifying a Ferrari by the tires.

I was just at 5star buying a roi :) I took some time to check out the shika rigs there.. that af solid look a like is heavy as can be. The etchings aren't that great but with the jumbo on there these things are pretty nice

My point exactly, Ashley... People really shouldn't be too quick to say a Syrian is a Nawras. Plus, there's plenty of perfectly fine, even great, "no name" Syrians out there. Just gotta know what to look for...

Indeed I once had a Nour Spear with amazing etchings big enough port for almost any hose smoked wonderfully then i got bills :-( lol That spear was awesome the only thign the Nawras version ahad above it was a better quality ash tray. There are a lot of good Syrians out there Year Nawras are the most sought after by hardcore collectors but they aren't the only great syrians. There's a whole armada of high quality nours out there!

I (SHOULD) have my V2 Suryo in by Wed/Thurs. I'll post pics and stuff. Might even do an unpacking on TC or something for people who have questions

Let us know how it holds up after cleaning and polishing. The only reservation I have with stems like that, is Brasso takes the black and aged look off like it's dust, So I am just curious if this brand has figured out a better method.

Well, this is after I cleaned it (I always clean new hookahs as soon as I get them before using them, just incase :P) But for all the good things about these hookahs there are 3 bad things to point out:

1) The wlds for the hose port and the purge valve, while extremely sturdy, are a little messy. Lots of excess...welding stuff (whatever you call it) around the base of each port.

2) On two of the joins for the stem's outercase, there appears to be plastic? I was able to get it all out using a pair of tweezers and some dedication but it was kind of annoying.

3) the hose looks like an exact copy of a KM ultimate rainbow hose

Otherh an those 3 things the hookah is perfection.

I think the stem weighs ~4-5 pounds. The base is beautiful in person...so shiny! The pull is smooth and the purge is easy. I do notice that it bubbles a lot more than other hookahs I've had, maybe I don't have the correct fill line yet? The tray is extremely sturdy and doesn't rumble on the hookah during a pull (which I find really annoying about some hookahs lol). The clay unglazed bowl it comes with will be a perfect DA bowl :) Oh, and I guess a negative, for me, is that the tongs it came with are WAY too thick and....clumsy? to use for coals? I'm afraid of crushing the coals when I pick them up.
